05-05-2014: Animus and Vamp burst onto the scene, each coming in at exactly 78 points! Oh, did we mention you can interchange them?

Animus comes with Charge, Penetrating/Psychic Blast, Super Strength, Telekinesis, Sidestep, Quake, Toughness, and Super Senses.

Deadpool HeroClix

Vamp comes with Running Shot, Stealth, Sidestep, Pulse Wave, Energy Shield/Deflection, Outwit, Combat Reflexes, Close Combat Expert, and pretty much any standard power.

Deadpool HeroClix

Heroclix Flag Smasher

From Wiki: Deadpool (Wade Winston Wilson) is a fictional character, a mercenary and anti-hero appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by artist Rob Liefeld and writer Fabian Nicieza, Deadpool first appeared in New Mutants #98 (Feb. 1991). A disfigured and mentally unstable mercenary, Deadpool originally appeared as a villain in an issue of New Mutants, and later in issues of X-Force. The character has since starred in several ongoing series, and shares titles with other characters such as Cable. The character, known as the "Merc with a Mouth", is famous for his talkative nature and his tendency to "break the fourth wall", which is used by writers for humorous effect.

Your Comments:
can the chase figures from the deadpool heroclixs set be found in boxes without the villains zombie pic on the front?

Posted by: Jeremy on 7/29/2014 8:33:05 AM
first case i pulled all the Deadpool pieces as plained.. scored a whole brick of Deadpool corps, pulled 9 Srs and even chase sabertooth!! wrapped it all up by buying out Thorpool and the LE'soff ebay!!! game set match!

Posted by: decoder on 7/24/2014 9:58:52 AM
We've reached a capacity issue. The venue has no more Deadpool and seems to be unable to order more. At this point I feel like I have roughly 1/2 of the set.

Posted by: superfriend on 7/10/2014 10:06:47 AM
So, how is everyone doing on their Deadpool collections? I picked up another 2 boosters last night (6 total so far. 2 SRs, 4 Rs, about 8 U, about 12 C, with 5 dupes at this point).

Posted by: superfriend on 5/21/2014 2:19:04 PM
Pulls from this weekend's sealed.
I pulled Tiamat, Shroud. I felt I would be out actioned playing Tiamat, so I built a team around Shroud (Shroud, Paladin, Colleen Wing, Lady Bullseye). My son pulled Banshee, Constrictor. He ran Banshee, Deadpool, some scientist guy, Black Cat. My son won and I came in dead last (someone has to).

Overall, it was a pretty good time.

Posted by: superfriend on 5/19/2014 7:26:12 AM
Yeah! We need Mortal Kombat to go against Street Fighter!

Posted by: Kragnorak on 5/15/2014 8:00:15 AM
I had to repost this. On another site, someone reported pulling an all Deadpool Corps pack.

The 5 pieces were:

Headpool
Dogpool
Deadpool
Kidpool
Lady Deadpool

And the booster included all 5 of the word balloon items that go with them.

I love it when I hear that WK does something crazy cool like this. (I got an all Alpha Flight pack in IIM, including Puck, Guardian, Snowbird, Sasquatch, Shaman. And in SLOSH I pulled a pack with Tharok, Universo and Persuader (all members of the Legion of Super-Villains). I no longer remember who the other 2 in that pack were, but just getting those 3 together A) was amazing because I needed all 3 and B) inspired me to play a theme team of LSV at my next event.)

Posted by: superfriend on 5/15/2014 6:48:10 AM
This is it. Release Day for the Deadpool set. Some folks have already got them and many of the dials have been spoiled on line.

Me? I've got one sealed event Saturday, and another probably the following weekend. That is when I will get my first Deadpool.

Posted by: superfriend on 5/14/2014 6:23:46 AM
Release day is coming up fast. This Wed, 2 days from now. That means a sealed this weekend. Looking forward to it.

Posted by: superfriend on 5/12/2014 1:05:11 PM
2nd part of the unboxing video is up.

shows pieces from the brick grouped by rarity
presenter picks out, shows cards and talks about certain pieces
Zombie Juggernaut, Zombie Doctor Octopus also shown.

Overall, I think he did a good job.

Posted by: superfriend on 5/7/2014 6:39:39 AM
I think Charge, Super Strength, 4 Damage = 75 point character from Hammer of Thor 013 Bi-Beast.

Posted by: superfriend on 5/6/2014 1:45:13 PM
4 damage with Super Strength is a pretty dumb thing to give a 78 point figure. That's before you even consider the P/PB to protect itself from range (albeit small range, but still) and the TK. Power Creep ftw!

Posted by: Adamantium on 5/6/2014 12:11:54 AM
Hehe, it looks like Animus is the first HeroClix character with a bared boob

Posted by: Kragnorak on 5/5/2014 12:14:49 PM
My guess is whether or not the zombies will be spread out through the set or only be the chases. They show plenty of villians on the back of the booster but, I've heard there may be only 4 chase figures. That's still not confirmed though.

Posted by: Steve-Dave on 5/5/2014 11:35:47 AM
Yeah, I saw the video. Pretty cool to see some of the sculpts. Two things that jumped out at me. 1. The Zombie Venom was a chase AND a switch click, meaning there is a team base - or possibly something else - you can attach him to. 2. There is a 2nd part of the video which is supposed to be put up sometime THIS week!

Posted by: superfriend on 5/5/2014 6:35:27 AM
Some guy was sent a case early and did an unboxing on YouTube. The front and back packaging now has Zombie Villains artwork. He only opens a brick but, manages to pull 3 Super Rares and a Zombie Venom Chase! Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tY0UMShb1Q

Posted by: Steve-Dave on 5/3/2014 11:21:21 AM
Have they released the brick layout. Is it the traditional 1 prime or chase per brick and 1 chase 1 prime per case?

Posted by: blacksmycolor on 5/3/2014 7:28:28 AM

WHO'S READY FOR SOME ZOMBIE CHASES???

Posted by: Steve-Dave on 5/3/2014 2:24:59 AM
In case you missed it, the Deadpool GF is out. How do I know? I picked one up yesterday. Pulled "Secret Empire Agent 9".

Posted by: superfriend on 4/30/2014 6:57:05 AM
I love how we get another modern age Squadron Supreme member (Hyperion being the last one) and they ARE BOTH PRIMES! So no way unless a venue's special rules can one play both on the same team legally.

Posted by: HighTechController on 4/28/2014 9:52:31 AM
Hell yes hell yes hell yes!!! Deadpool grav feed 3 days omg can't wait so excited ill let all you saps no what I pull :p already preordered since Halloween

Posted by: Decoder on 4/27/2014 8:03:05 PM
that last post should say
+2 to DAMAGE

Posted by: superfriend on 4/25/2014 4:36:12 PM
I see Sable's trait as options / flexability.
+2 to defense close up
OR
+2 to defense vs ranged
you get to choose based upon the conditions of the game.

Posted by: superfriend on 4/25/2014 7:09:57 AM
exactly pointless!!!

Posted by: decoder on 4/23/2014 4:02:44 PM
Useless? Seems like a nice way to give Sable lots of damage potential, and you don't have to choose until you see the map/opposing team/tactical situation (if you want to wait a little!).

Posted by: Spudeus on 4/23/2014 2:02:01 PM
silver sable would be ok if it didnt have that pathetic useless trait!!!!

Posted by: decoder on 4/23/2014 11:18:20 AM
Darnit, I'm totally in the mood to do some street level battles right now. Having trouble with the notion of waiting a whole month!

Posted by: Kragnorak on 4/23/2014 11:08:11 AM
Whizzer Prime all kinds of fun.

@beetleboy8: good more merc with the mouth for me my favorite character!!!

Posted by: decoder on 4/15/2014 5:19:59 PM
duos fall into a different category. I did not realize you were referring specifically to duo figures.

Since the preview was for two single figures, I thought you were referring to the two of them as wasted slots.

In general, I don't see the point of duo figs as I feel they restrict my team building by forcing me to play 2 characters when I might just want to use one of them. Or I find them redundant. Case in point, while the recent SLOSH Mr Miracle and Big Barda duo figure makes sense comic book wise, if you want to run the two characters, why not just use the BM Big Barda with the SLOSH Mr Miracle?

My feeling is this. HeroClix allows me to build the team I've always wanted. If I think that Red Star should be a member of the Justice League, I can build a team of Batman, Green Lantern , Red Star, Plastic Man and Black Lightning. Duo figures and the more recent team bases direct who should be on my team instead of giving me the freedom to use whomever I want.

So to be honest, I think the recent SLOSH Mr Miracle and Big Barda piece was cute but I would have rather seen the slot go to giving us a completely different member of the New Gods. Forager for example.

Posted by: superfriend on 4/15/2014 6:46:52 AM
I despise Deadpool, but appreciate this set for all the obscure characters featured. If Wizkids were nice, they would take this opportunity to complete the Ringmaster's Circus of Crime in this set!

Posted by: beetleboy8 on 4/15/2014 4:42:02 AM
when did wizkids ever make a deadpool and wolverine duo fig??? id already have one if they did XD

Posted by: decoder on 4/14/2014 2:12:26 PM
#ColleenWing
55 points does seem cheap considering some of the 50 point dials we got for Batman Inc characters like Mr. Unknown and Nightrunner.

Posted by: superfriend on 4/14/2014 2:11:08 PM
@decoder
I have to counter that statement

We don't need another copy of character X that no one wants because they already have 5 versions in Modern Age to choose from. For me that number is even lower.

Posted by: superfriend on 4/14/2014 2:09:47 PM
ok are these dials correct is colleen wing really 55 points with those stats???

Posted by: decoder on 4/14/2014 2:05:42 PM
this is a waste! we dont need amother pathetic duo that no ones gonna use im looking for wolvering and deadpool duo fig!!!!

Posted by: decoder on 4/14/2014 2:02:33 PM
#Colleen Wing and Misty Knight
Always glad to see a character, which should have been made as a piece but was made as a pog, get the figure treatment. Both of these fit in that category. The duo figure in the Amazing Spiderman set was a nice start and this complements it very well. Even the point values match up. Someone was paying attention.

The power sets are nothing crazy or insane, just good honest power sets that will come in handy and deliver.

Posted by: superfriend on 4/14/2014 9:44:12 AM
i post this about bullseye one of my favorite marvel characters ive been waiting for a new sculpt and this one is what ive been waiting for you bet im gonna run him on my Tbolts team next to deadpool and venom

Posted by: decoder on 4/11/2014 6:01:33 AM
Black Cat appears to have recovered from whatever disorder was causing her balding look from WoS. Finally!

Posted by: Kragnorak on 4/10/2014 7:55:42 AM
OMG. Cable is in Deadpool. And an SR. sigh.

Why are certain characters almost always in the hard to get category? Cable seems to be on the "list" for Marvel. For DC, I've noticed Flash and Sinestro fall into that category.

Posted by: superfriend on 4/10/2014 7:51:42 AM

@superfriend - Going slightly off topic here, but what I like to do with GF sets that I really want is split a gravity feed display with a friend. You can usually find them for $50. That's $25 each, and you both get all 10 figures plus 2 extras. Barely $2 a figure.

Posted by: Adamantium on 4/9/2014 12:36:17 PM
Black Cat - A nice little trait. Not sure how I feel about a character like this having the ability to do damage via Exploit Weakness to characters like Iron Man as it implies getting around his armor. What does she do, remove his helmet? OK, i might buy that, but then how does she damage Thor?

GF: I completely forgot we were getting a GF set with Deadpool and it likely is coming out a few weeks before the main set. I used to ignore the GF sets, but for IIM, it was all my local store got in, so we bought it all. Now I have the full GF for both IIM and TT and 9 of 10 for SLOSH. I will say, collecting the GF is a lot easier than completing the main set.

@jwats
No worries. WK changes the rules every so often, so its easy to be "off a bit". Especially right after WK releases a rules update. The Captain America movie starter has the new 2014 rules, but the 2014 Powers and Abilities Card currently can only be downloaded from Heroclix.com

Posted by: superfriend on 4/9/2014 7:17:40 AM
@Mantis/superfriend: My apologies, you are correct. Myself and my friend are new to the game and were under the impression that since it states the whole "can use/possess" thing outwit didnt apply to white powers. Thank you for correcting me :)!

Posted by: jwats on 4/8/2014 2:30:27 PM
@Kragnarok - I doubt it has anything to do with Outwit. With the change to the OO-> symbol, the better question instead of "why not give him the Sharpshooter symbol" is "why would they?". Sharpshooter is 100% redundant with that symbol in conjunction with ignoring all characters for targeting as this Bullseye has.

Posted by: Adamantium on 4/8/2014 10:51:23 AM
Oh, and Adamantium is correct, I see that the OO-> symbol now says "May make a ranged combat attack against any opposing character within range and line of fire, even if that character is in an adjacent square."

This makes Bullseye really buff but it's sort of a shame - I liked the idea of choosing between different strategies.

So the answer to why Bullseye doesn't just have Sharpshooter and THEN Improved Targeting [Green Square, Friendly Characters) is *drumroll* so that all of his Improved Targeting can be outwitted at once just by calling an Outwit on "World's Greatest Marksman"

Posted by: Kragnorak on 4/8/2014 10:42:43 AM
The more I look at the new Bullseye, the more I like it. And the less I like the WOS one. I think one of the biggest reasons I don't like the old one is that it doesn't look like Bullseye. I know it it meant to look like him when he was posing as Hawkeye and I am grateful we have that option, but I really like the sculpt of the new one so much better.

And that power set (RS, PS, CR, PC) plus the improved targeting now that I understand it. Put this on the want list as #3 right after both 019 Deadpools.

Posted by: superfriend on 4/8/2014 9:58:36 AM
@Kragnorak
Thank you for trying to help me visualize the symbol in terms of game elements. That is why the green square and black circle work for me. I'll review the other symbols on the pack thinking of the double circle as 2 pieces next to each other.

Posted by: superfriend on 4/8/2014 9:52:35 AM
@Superfriend,

1st, for that improved targeting symbol... Just picture it as two bases adjacent to each other, then it becomes clear that the arrow lets you shoot out of adjacency.

2nd, Bullseye can't shoot point blank. Instead he can choose to make a ranged attack in any direction even when he is based. (WoS Bullseye would be forced to deal with a tie-up piece) Not to mention that he basically has the same effects as Superman TA.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 4/8/2014 8:53:05 AM
Then why not give him the Sharpshooter symbol in the attack symbol location?

Posted by: superfriend on 4/8/2014 6:28:37 AM
Okay, update time. That symbol shown under his Improved Targeting has apparently been changed in the 2014 PAC, though they gave no indication of it. That symbol now also grants the ability to make a ranged attack against adjacent figures in addition to shooting out of adjacency (good change for colossals as well). I never liked how that symbol did not include the ability of sharpshooter, and with that change this guy is awesome once more.

Posted by: Adamantium on 4/7/2014 8:44:52 PM
I like this new version a lot, although the energy explosion name is a really weak explanation for it as i don't see how a broken bottle is something to worry about.

This guy will be a great addition as with such a high attack he will prob be able to save pc for other attacks, and the pstike will help be a annoyance to multiple targets even if they have damage reducers. Great representation and i cant wait to see some of the daredevils hoping he is comparable and as competitive as this guy

Posted by: Predator on 4/7/2014 3:25:13 PM
Take new bullseye

Posted by: Thordude12 on 4/7/2014 1:36:23 PM
No sharpshooter???? Really!?!? They said in the preview that he's meant to running shot into adjacency, except the problem is he can't actually shoot the person he's adjacent to... It's certainly cool he can shoot other opposing characters but he can't shoot the one he's actually based with... Wow.

Posted by: Adamantium on 4/7/2014 1:03:01 PM
A very nice Bulseye, similarly costed to WOS and offering a genune choice between the two. Busting tentpoles Take WOS for the increased range and more penetrating damage. Need more flexability vs larger numbers? DP set version is your man.

@Superfriend / jwats r.e. Evil Deadpool
Although he does have 2 18 defences they are not front loaded and in modern age a 16 with toughness to start the dial is about as low as it gets i.m.o.
You can't outwit his regen specifically but you can outwit "weird regeneration" the power that lets him use regen so I believe Superfriend is right. He probably is a bit more powerful than I first thought I'll concede but not in Brother Voodoo's league of Prime Brokenness.

@IDjango99: Done.

Posted by: The Le on 4/7/2014 11:38:50 AM
@The Le you should add the web of spiderman bullseye dial for comparison

Posted by: IDjango99 on 4/7/2014 11:17:44 AM
#Bullseye
12 attack and PC? With the average defense being a 17, how is this guy going to miss? And look at that improved targeting. The only thing I would have liked to see is Side Step on those last 3 clicks.

If he is the World's Greatest Marksman, it might have been interesting to see him with a white power combining Incapacitate with the Energy Explosion. Incap and EE and 3 bolts? That would have been amazing.

To theLE's point long ago, the "Improved" symbolism can be confusing. I understand the target, green square and black circle, as I can easily relate them to the map or pieces, but the addition of the last symbol with 2 circles and an arrow makes me shake my head because I have to go look it up.

Posted by: superfriend on 4/7/2014 10:05:49 AM
I've been told, by better players than I, that you just outwit the white power and the whole thing goes away. Are you saying this is wrong?

Posted by: superfriend on 4/7/2014 7:06:41 AM
It says "Can use" not "possess". You can only outwit things that are "possessed.

Posted by: jwats on 4/5/2014 10:35:13 AM
my guess is the saved outwit is used to outwit the "Wierd Regen" white power, shutting it off.

Posted by: superfriend on 4/4/2014 7:01:04 AM
mantis explain how outwit affects his ability to regen. As for his defense, slightly above average given his already solid move/attack/damage. Which I add all get worse if you get a solid regen roll. An incredibly filfthy piece that should be at least 50-75pts higher.

Posted by: jwats on 4/2/2014 7:18:42 PM
low defenses? I see at least 2 clicks of 18.

Posted by: superfriend on 4/2/2014 9:45:42 AM
Very potent regen on Evil Deadpool. Fortunately he's really easy to hit with those low defences. If your opponent knows what's coming he's probably worth the 100 points only (he'll save an outwit or a second attacker to follow up) if your opponent knows nothing about the fig he could well be worth twice his point value depending on your regen luck.

Posted by: Mantis Warrior on 4/1/2014 1:13:04 PM
For 100 pts, Evil Deadpool is sarcastically ALMOST as good as AvX Wolverine!

Posted by: Kragnorak on 4/1/2014 9:55:49 AM
Great deadpool, but me suspect april fools joke.

Posted by: pandab0mb on 3/31/2014 7:30:23 PM
Wow...that special defense..is insane..100 pts only!? This price of this fig is going to be ridiculous. 40-50 USD I'm calling it.

OK, Deadpool (019a) was good. No, Deadpool was great. No, Deadpool was awesome. Evil Deadpool (019b) is insane.

Rumor is Deadpool previews start today!

Posted by: superfriend on 3/31/2014 7:06:00 AM
I don't mind the Yugio previews, I just wish there were more previews in general. I think with DOFP, Yugio, Deadpool and War of Light, we could have 4 previews every week, maybe 5.

Monday - War of Light
Tuesday - Deadpool
Wednesday - Yugio
Thursday - War of Light
Friday - Days of Future Past

Posted by: superfriend on 3/25/2014 10:29:12 AM
@superfriend: I miss previews that don't begin with "Yu-Gi-Oh"

I miss the Monday previews. Monday should be Deadpool set preview day.

Posted by: superfriend on 3/24/2014 9:24:18 AM
I really liked the Punisher weapon swap mechanic. Felt very Halo like. I was not thrilled they used 3 slots for the same character, but I did like the mechanic.

Posted by: superfriend on 3/24/2014 7:12:28 AM
I am so pumped for this line! I hope they make a decent punisher this time unlike the incredible hulk line. That guy could only do 2 freaken damage!

Posted by: Thordude12 on 3/20/2014 5:51:51 PM
@The Le: There actually wasn't a change to Flurry. It's the Damage Depletion Modifier that is new and doesn't affect Flurry leaving it the same as it's always been.

Posted by: Analysis on 3/20/2014 1:50:53 PM
As a street-level fan at heart, I'm thrilled with the characters here: Heroes for Hire, Code Red/Thunderbolts, Flagsmasher (who I've been wanting for years). I'm really hoping that with Humbug in the preview we'll get Orka as well!

Lots of Shadowland players I notice, so we should see the new Power Man soon

Theres a looot of pics of war of light on my fb groups. Amazing minis. Saw a multi colored lantern there and swamp thing. Nekron is huuuge. And the entities for each color were in peanut dials. So much money to spend on hc this year.

Flag Smasher is on WK's Facebook page.

Posted by: superfriend on 3/19/2014 12:38:03 PM
Ah, right... the ultra light objects and ATA changes. Not a big deal to me (but a big deal to other people I'm sure). I'm far more concerned about "little" changes, like the flurry change I mentioned. I'll have to take a good look at the new rulebook book in the near future and see what's all changed. Thanks.

Posted by: superfriend on 3/17/2014 7:40:47 AM
Is there a new rulebook? I thought it was just the PAC. I updated my rules web section (Standard powers and combat abilities) with the latest changes and added errata/clarifications, but that's about it. The only real change I saw to the PAC was the change to Flurry.

I really need to get around to updating/adding all the TAs, and redesign the navigation to be friendlier -- it's on my list of things to do.

I'm mostly busy right now with Clix Addict #2, which will be available early April. Hopefully my writers will finish their articles soon so I can put it all together (it's about 50% complete)

Posted by: The Le on 3/17/2014 7:37:15 AM
@LE
I think there was a pattern.
SLOSH on Monday
Yugio on Wednesday
DOFP on Friday

Hoping that Deadpool takes over Monday, starting with today.

Also, the GAMA Trade show is this week, so maybe we will get some War Of Light info out of that.

While I have your attention, did you get a chance to read through the new rules yet? Would like to see an article on your take on the rules changes.

Posted by: superfriend on 3/17/2014 7:30:38 AM
@superfriend: not totally odd. For some reason, WK has been doing a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh previews lately; ironically, very few of my readers seem to care about it.

My readers are dying for more Marvel HeroClix and DC HeroClix news!

Posted by: The Le on 3/17/2014 6:48:14 AM
OK, I think its odd that we have not seen a second dial from this set yet. Maybe today?

And if that is 019a, anyone want to guess how crazy 019b will be?

Posted by: superfriend on 3/17/2014 6:27:57 AM
I actually expect the word balloons WILL take up a slot. As for the SLOSH toys, I do not think they are a bad idea. We did need some low point pieces for building teams. If they were established to not break theme, like pogs used to be, that would be better. As someone who NEVER pulled a Flock of Bats, I greatly appreciate the fact that the SLOSH toys are easier to pull. Sure I have 3 airplanes, but they are much easier to trade away than the Tyrocs I keep pulling.

OK, I have not run any toys in a game yet, but my son fielded the airplane in a sealed draft. Using Polar Boy's Enhancement, he was able to get the airplane to hit Darkseid who at the time had invulnerability and make DS take a click of damage. Kind of epic. My other opponent that day used the Cymbol Monkey to also take a click off of Darkseid.

Sure they could pack them in randomly like the Manderin's Rings, but I have yet to pull one of those either.

Posted by: superfriend on 3/13/2014 7:06:08 AM
I am very excited about the set! I just hope that the word balloons DO NOT take the place of an actual figure inside of a booster like the dumb toys with LoSH.

It looks like the rest of the deadpool corps can use the bubbles and the duo fig with bob. I'm liking the figures on this set. Almost excited for this set as much as the WoL and the rumored flash set.

Deadpool is insane. Kind of like the LE Absorbing Man I faced last night. Only takes damage if you roll a D6 ang get the same number as the amount of damage being given out?

I do like the word balloon effect. If these can be used by more that just Deadpool, they should be fun.

Posted by: superfriend on 3/6/2014 1:22:52 PM
The box art, in the area where they display the OP kit prize support, has Hydra Wolverine, what appears to be the Marvel Girl costumed Deadpool (from when he tried to join the X-Men) and then a yellow suited figure I cant quite make out. It looks kind of like the Bob agent of Hydra figure we saw on the duo only yellow. Can anyone make out the middle two faces on the side of the Gravity Feed box?

Posted by: henryhyde on 3/5/2014 8:28:25 AM
First appearing in Exiles #92, James Howlett was an Agent of Hydra alongside his lover - Susan Storm. Deciding to expand their empire into the multiverse after battling the Exiles, Wolverine and Sue eventually fell in battle against Cat Pryde.

http://marvel.wikia.com/James_Howlett_(Earth-1720)

As we have already seen the Exiles/Weapon X world conqueror Iron Doom as well as the evil Weapon X version of Hyperion, it's a 99.9% chance we are seeing the Hydra Wolverine here. Wonder if the fan-favorite Blink is creating an Exiles resurgence...

Posted by: M on 3/4/2014 4:16:46 PM
If you look real close there is an H on wolverine's belt. I am therefore going to assume this is Hydra aligned wolverine!

Posted by: BiguglyThing on 3/4/2014 4:00:02 PM
@ Bizombyea
I'm guessing the Green wolverine is from the Exiles where they encountered a bad version of Logan teamed up with an evil sue storm. Pretty sure he wore green. Anyone have another theory?

Posted by: Mantis Warrior on 3/4/2014 12:11:03 PM
Hello again to Ridiculous Regeneration. But this Deadpool is NOT as good because there's only one click of regular regen, as the ridiculous regen is not traited. This means if you roll bad you'll have a pool of dead-Deadpool. Really fast.

Of course, he's far better offensively so he's still awesome. Tell you what though, if people find themselves pulling 4 figures and a WORD BALLOON inside packs like they did with toys in LoSH there will be more crankiness...

Posted by: Kragnorak on 3/4/2014 11:23:32 AM

The gsx is cool like the new writer power. Some ppl are saying this new deadpool is broken. personally i like this new one. And yea chucking sheep is awesome. Cant wait to see the rest of the speech bubbles.

Posted by: pandab0mb on 3/3/2014 5:49:30 PM
I want people's opinion. Ingoring the speech bubbles, do people think that new deadpool is good? Also, is he better or worse than GSX?

That said, the speech bubbles alone make me want to play this guy! Shooting sheep at people is going to be soooo much fun.

THIS SET IS MINE IM GONNA GET EVER DEADPOOL PIECE!

Posted by: decoder on 2/7/2014 1:08:41 PM
I understand that. I just think we do not need the same characters over and over again. Until AFTER the Incredible Hulk set is retired, I really see no need for characters who were made multiple times in that set to be redone. I mean Punisher took up 3 CUR slots and 1 GF spot. Dardevil had 2 CUR slots, 1 LE and Matt Murdock took up another slot.

I am excited to see Deadpool, Agent Venom, Kane, the Dragon Sisters as solos, and Red Hulk (who had the normal 1 main set and 1 GF in Hulk. I just think that Punisher and Daredevil could be "rested" a bit to allow new or less frequently made characters a spot.

Posted by: superfriend on 2/7/2014 6:32:53 AM
@superfriend The new version of the Punisher is to fit in with the Thunderbolts theme for the fast forces set.

Posted by: annoyinglizardvoice on 2/6/2014 3:20:45 PM
Not convinced we need another Daredevil or Punisher as we got 3 or 4 of each in the Hulk set.

Posted by: superfriend on 2/6/2014 12:51:07 PM
An awesome idea for a prime would be Agent X. One in the classic look, and the other sculpt should be overweight with a scooter and a sandwich!

Posted by: Saudi on 2/4/2014 9:56:22 AM
Somehow I had missed that Kane had never been made. He did gte 2 action figures in the Toy-Boz X-Men/X-Force action figure line. The other unmade X character I've always wanted is Random from the 90's X-Factor book.

I agree with @Adamantium, with the added note that in response to a question about some of the recently shown War of Light sculpts I think I read that WK only got in the sculpts, the dials were not ready yet and the fact they were not on dials was no indication of switch clix.

Posted by: superfriend on 2/3/2014 7:30:46 AM
@decoder: "true but cant forget doubles for trade stock :)"

I used to believe that, but in general I find it hard to find folks who want to trade.

Posted by: superfriend on 2/3/2014 7:28:14 AM
@Pandabomb I could be mistaken but I think they display the figures that way so we can see the sculpt without spoiling the dials yet. I don't think they will detach when they're actually on the base.

Posted by: Adamantium on 2/3/2014 12:06:14 AM
Interesting it looks like the characters are detachable( switch clix style) and can be put in the comic speech/thought bubbles. Like in the dual fig and from what it seems it can be done for the dpool corps. Pretty cool and different from team bases.

Posted by: Pandabomb on 2/2/2014 2:14:44 PM
Deadpool & Bob, Agent of Hydra duo??? Interesting. I feel like if that's the extent they're going to to get a duo figure, many other combinations could be made. Deadpool & Cable, Death, Taskmaster, Bullseye...

@decoder
My preferred plan for acquiring a new set is:
1. Buy the Fast Forces
2. Play in Sealed events (2 boosters).
3. Buy a booster or 2 or some gravity feeds each week at the store when I am not playing in sealed.
4. About 2 months after the set is out I go on line and buy the singles I need to complete the Commons, Uncommons and Rares (usually 2$ or less each at that point).
5. Over time, the SRs and chases tend to come down in price. I pick them up when the mood hits me and the price feels right at the same time. For example, I paid 6$ each for two Batman SRs, then later I paid 4$ each for two more. There are two more left I plan to buy which currently run for about 3$ each. I picked up a Batman set chase last summer for 10$ and a Superman set chase for 9$.

I can see excitement over a new Deadpool, but most of the other characters people seem excited about were made in the Incredible Hulk set. We got 3 versions of Daredevil. 2 versions of Red Hulk, 4 Punishers.

Not excited for any of those to be remade. A new Deadpool, Blink and Dr Bong, however, are exciting to see.

I'm throwing money at the screen, but nothing seems to be happening. Ideas?

I was sold on the Thunderbolts fast-force pack :) they're the only marvel title I'm picking up at the moment so I'm glad to see them getting feature (particularly as we're over-due new versions of some of them).
It wouldn't surprise me if the Deadpool Corps are the chases in this set.
Hopefully this set will be used as an excuse to include loads of obscure character.
Not too keen on the high number of super-rares in the set though.

Omg yess a new daredevil, maybe this one will have the Avengers keyword , I am actually really surprised and pleased with the selection of this set, it's not Avengers, xmen, or Spiderman based, it opens the door for a lot of unclixed characters to be made, as well as updates of characters like domino and daredevil, plus I can finally get a deadpool, he's not a character id spend the 30$ or so his other incarnations are running these days.

Okay.....15 SRs??? Now, this is getting fu*^%#+ ridiculous, isn't it? I don't want to chase after 15 SRs and I don't want to buy a Brick now if I'll only have a 1 in 5 chance that I'll pull a SR I want.

I hate to complain. Honestly. This set looks like it could be awesome but they're not even hiding how excessive the amount of supply is anymore.
