Quintessential Deathstroke HeroClix DialA few months ago we did a poll, asking you to choose our next Quintessential article, and you chose Deathstroke! As you know we always follow through with our polls and at HeroClix World, votes always matter.

As usual, master designer Eric Schaen has done an amazing job to give you the Quintessential Deathstroke. Not overly powerful, this Deathstroke is a Wild Card with a respectable range of 7 (and two ranged attacks). A real assassin is good in close and ranged combat, and Quintessential Deathstroke is no exception with a special power that gives him 3 clicks of Charge, Running Shot, and Stealth. Of course, why would you want to take him in close when he can just sit on a rooftop and peg his opponents for 3 damage or Energy Explosion or Penetrating/Psychic Blast (and Precision Strike to boot).

Dial by Eric Schaen... Continued below...

HeroClix Quintessential Deathstroke

Of course, once the Quintessential Deathstroke gets in close, he's just as deadly thanks to Blades/Claws/Fangs and Exploit Weakness... and a touch of Flurry. Make no mistake, this is an extremely diverse dial with top-dial that is focused on ranged combat and a bottom-dial focused on close combat. Regardless, a full dial of Indomitable will keep the Quintessential Deathstroke in the game and focused on his target (especially with the Judas Contract trait). Make no mistake, he's a primary attacker for any force at 300 points or 400 points!

This is definitely the Quintessential Deathstroke!

Your Comments:
@eGG, We already have great supermans, Batmans, Wonder womans and Aquamans and Green Lanterns... Sheesh! If you are going to criticize, at least make it constructive,

Already great Deathstrokes. This isnt needed

As for things WK should consider in the future, the real question should be, do we need another version of character X. JL52, SOG, TT, Arkham Origins, Flash = 5. How soon do we really need another one? Probably will get another in Trinity War, but do we really need one?

I like the way the traits represent significant one-off events for that character without creating a whole dial based around that one event. Something WK should consider in future figures.

Slade,
Thanks for the link. 3 interesting facts I found there about Deathstroke and the Injustice League.

1. Deathstroke was part of the team Lex put together to fight the Crime Syndicate in Forever Evil. Having skipped Forever Evil, I did not know the make up of this team. That alone justifies the keyword.

2. Apparently there was another relatively recently written story that has been retroactively made to be the first appearance / use of the team. I hate it when they do this. How are we expected to keep up on retroactive changes.

3. Finally, that my own memories of the Injustice League are actually listed as incarnations of the Injustice Gang on wikipedia. Time to dig out and read Rock of Ages once again.

@Alan Wilkinson -- "Dial By" has been fixed. That's an interesting idea though.. maybe we can do an Quintessential Eric Schaen Dial for April Fool's or something.

I think this is a great representation of Deathstroke. All the essentials are there and some creative traits too. Loving this series, if only Wizkids would hire Eric.

"Dial be Eric Schaen..."? I know it's a typo, but now I'm wondering what the Quintessential Eric Schaen dial looks like.

This I not death stroke and both traits are pathetic! He's not a sharpshooter, dosent have super senses, invulnerable, and only one pathetic notch of regen!! these traits especially the contract is pathetic! It's like a crappy form of shape change but once your opponent rolls that six it's basically renders it useless!! The titans hunt is lame it should be :modified his valise or something when targeting a character with the teen titans ta or keyword -.- this is just sad you really screwed up on my favorite DC -.-

Huge teen titans fan and would love to see a deathstroke like this I feel as if this clix does him justice

That's actually a pretty perfect dial for him.

@ SF, not sure the exact issues but he has wroked with them at times: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Injustice_League#Members_2

WK has done a number of versions of Deathstroke lately, between JL52, SOG, TT, Arkham Origins, and last spring a whole set dedicated to an alternate reality version, Wade Wilson. What I am trying to say, is we have some good options.

And now we have this one to consider. Overall, I like it. the powers, special powers, TA and improved movement look good. Wondering if he could use improved targeting green (infrared scope ?) or sharpshooter.

Titans Hunt. A nice nod to the one time Slade helped them out. I'm not sure that it is justified due to the fact more often then not he is their opponent and even named a team of mercenaries after them to spite them. In terms of mechanics, it is simple to understand and follow. But a nice nod.

Judas Contract. The really big Titans vs Deathstroke story. My only issue with this your opponent's Deathstroke could sideline your best piece for most of the game. Again, this trait is good in that it is easy to understand. It just feels too good.

Finally question on keyword choice. When was he in the Injustice League?
