ClixCraves CoverClixCraves is a new series of articles discussing HeroClix figures we want to see in the future. Our selection criteria can be new never-before-seen figures, or it could be a request for remakes of old figures.

We're kicking off our ClixCraves series with Five Marvel HeroClix Figures We Want Remade.

There are hundreds (thousands?) of MarvelClix figures already made, and at least a hundred that deserve to be remade. Some of the figures are on our list simply because we just can't get enough of them... while others are on the list because they haven't been given the dial they deserve.

Let's kick things off with...

Moon Knight
Moon knight HeroClix Myke Dela PazMoon Knight's seen some time in the limelight with four different figures (an REV set from Critical Mass and a common from Marvel Avengers). While his REV versions are some of the best tie-up pieces in the game, the common version left much to be desired as he simply couldn't do anything very well. In the comics, Moon Knight should have been the Batman of the Marvel universe, but he never really manifested that way. That's no excuse for a lackluster figure!

(right: custom HeroClix by Myke Dela Paz)

A new Moon Knight HeroClix figure really needs to have some sort of moon mechanic to it. After all, he's an agent of the Egyptian moon god, Khonshu. As such, his powers should be greater as the moon phases in, with his greatest power coming during a full moon. Here's what I have in mind..

HeroClix Special PowerKhonshu's Blessing: At the beginning of your turn, put a Moon counter on this card; it cannot have more than 3 Moon counters this way. Once on your turns as a free action, you may remove one or two counters. If you remove one counter, then remove one action token from Moon Knight. If you remove two counters, then modify all of Moon Knight's combat abilities by +1 until the beginning of your next turn.

note: characters can not take more than one non-free action per turn.

@ Joe, Dude i could not agree more!
Although the last Cap and even the new Spideys are good for thier points, they are both hitting well below their respective wieght catogries as far as comic accuracy is concerned. Heck even the new wolverine isnt all he should be! Yet Batman a regular bloke with a some fancy training and a utility belt will batter any of the above characters without breaking a sweat

The characters I'd really like to see done are pretty iconic, and they've all seen a lot of attention in heroclix already, they're all marvel. I like DC but I feel DC's characters are given a healthy amount of respect already, in no particular order I want: Spider-man, Captain America, Daredevil, and Cyclops. From the start these characters have been given a lot of attention and some cool sculpts (I think the new web of spiderman has 7 different spidermans in it) so you'd think you'd cover everything on them, but for some reason none of them have gotten attention in any recent set as a Veteran. These are the old pros of the marvel world, the professional heroes who use their powers to the fullest and will face any challenge. Between them, theyve gone one on one with Thanos(Cap), beaten Firelord(Spiderman), beaten Sinister(Cyke), gone one on one with Magneto and Apocalypse, beaten the stuffing out of wolverine (all four), taken the hulk on, pretty much thrown down with every major powerhouse in marvel and never been found lacking. Sure their powers arent the flashiest but these guys are the best of the best and theyre written that way, yet time and again they just give them the same rookie weaklings at a 30-80 point range. I saw the 319 point Cosmic Spiderman, yay, I dont want to play Cosmic Spiderman, I just want my regular old Spidey who can throw down with the whole sinister six, not get wasted by the new green goblin. I'd like to see solid veteran versions of (approximate hopes) 90 point Cyclops, 110 point Daredevil, 135-165 point Captain America and Spiderman. They dont have any trouble making Batman a badass in the DC side dispite his lack of flashy powers. The 120 point AA chase figure is amazing and exactly the kind of treatment I wish they'd give these four marvel vets.

I can think of quite a few Marvel characters to re-do, but the character I want to see the most is Rogue. The first Rogue was not really powerful enough and they made the second Rogue one point higher which did not make much of a difference. I think they should give us a Rogue Heroclix figure that does the character justice. They could even do a Modern Rogue with just her absorption powers with an ability that takes what adjacent characters (friend or foe) currently have. Thanks.

Most of the Brotherhood needs to be remade, badly. Heck, the next Marvel set could simply be title "Brotherhood of Mutants" and be heavy with Magneto and company, as well as some other heroes and villains. Though, I still want me my Midnight Sons set.

Hawkeye? While a proper one would be good, I think there are plenty of dials that could be used for him. To be honest, I'm good without and Clint or Oliver Queens for a while and I'm a fan of both.

I want a new magneto for sure. I would like to see morph from the old xmen cartoon. And whatever happened to the morlocks team ability caliban could be a pretty cool kliq.

Posted by: jester71781 on 7/26/2010 12:47:37 AM
My votes would be BLADE, CYCLOPS, JUGGERNAUT, SABERTOOTH, MYSTIQUE.

Posted by: Battletank900 on 7/25/2010 3:25:10 PM
I VOTE DOOMBOTS!!!!!!! been wanting some doome bots or doom with vibrainium armor like in doomwar. love the sp's that the LE suggested may I also make a suggestion
Give power to the master
as a free action once per turn if dr.ddom is within 3 (or 4)squares this character may enhance dr.doom and only dr.doom

Bane !!!!!!!!! I want a decent Bane

Posted by: Coptur on 7/19/2010 8:58:51 AM
Well instead of the duo attack ability give him flurry, but only on ranged attacks

Posted by: B&B on 7/15/2010 2:05:08 AM
Top 5 Wants (asuming we get all the Dark Avengers in the next set) are as follows

1) Bucky Cap (Long Over Due!)
2) New Cyclops (not a major X-fan but even i can see he's in urgent need of an update)
3)Bob Agent of Hydra
4) Abomination (the Avengers one was pants!)
5) Black Widow (someone who crosses over into far too many other books to have only had one 616 version of her made, and so long ago at that!)

Posted by: Ste on 7/14/2010 7:11:51 PM
I'm going old school Marvel Horror for my picks.
1. Dracula
2. Frankenstein's Monster
3. The Werewolf
4. The Zombie
5. Godzilla (Move over Fin Fang Foom.)

Posted by: lordcassidyg on 7/14/2010 9:18:31 AM
Five Marvel characters I would like to see remade are:

1) Magneto. There hasn't been one since Armor Wars and that was the House of M version.
2) Angel. We need a 'First Class' version to round out the rest of the X-Men from Mutations and Monsters. Keep him around 40 points, and maybe a Special Power to increase his attack when coordinating with another X-Man.
3) Bullseye. The Sharpshooter mechanic screams for a new Bullseye.
4) Juggernaut. He should have a Special Power that gives him Impervious and Super Senses, and makes him immune to Knockback, Outwit and Psychic Blast (until his last couple of clicks, to simulate his helmet getting knocked off).
5) Nova. Since his last version came out in Supernova he's had a new comic, a new costume and new powers.

ghost ride, nuff said

Posted by: keith collins on 7/13/2010 9:27:19 PM
Silver Surfer!!! So far there hasn't been one done up to snuff. He needs at least an 18 speed, and maybe even HSS and/or Impervious as a Trait. Come on guys, this is the Silver Surfer. In the Marvel Universe he's about as tough as they come. Show Norrin some respect. It would be Radd.

Posted by: RussVonDoom on 7/13/2010 9:09:01 PM
New Nightmare and Dormammu would be appreciated! Also, I 2nd the vote for Tiger Shark as well as more AoA (Abyss!!!)

Posted by: doombot on 7/13/2010 6:30:23 PM
Nice write up, but i like others would pick different marvel characters except for moonknight. How about a 300 pt wrecking crew team. All four( Wrecker, Thunderball, Bulldozer and Piledriver) make 'em add up to 300 pts with a special trait similar to the warriors three but not as powerful.

Posted by: battlinbichon on 7/13/2010 5:54:53 PM
I was at a tournament at the loco comic shop and it was coming down to the end odin with a couple clix in vs a loaded Sentinel which i was fine with since i was using a god, now Odin faced this gaint head on gets the Sentinel down to his last clix and he picks me up a capture me for the kill which i would be find with but Odin is A) A God and B) had phasing, since Odin has phasing he should not have been about to either capture me or at least give Odin a d6 roll to break out of the capture with phasing sounds like that makes sense. this power NEEDS! to be changed

Posted by: Cody on 7/13/2010 2:25:17 PM
Morg (why not.. Stardust is there as a Herald of Galactus?), Arnim Zola (Cap villain), Godzilla (but legalities don't allow me to not dream and we have a devil dinosaur who was smaller in the comic books), Red Ronin and the Shogun Warriors, Tiger Shark FINALLY with MoE TA, New Skurge the Executioner, Rage from New Warriors/Avengers, Sphinx the Nova villain FINALLY, more AoA x-men figures as a subset (Abyss, wolverine, colossus, Sugar Man, alot to choose from). And my list could go on and on

Posted by: Johnhafford14 on 7/13/2010 2:15:39 PM
i want a madcap!

Posted by: jack on 7/13/2010 10:44:52 AM
Sersi!

Posted by: mikeinmke on 7/13/2010 9:43:35 AM
I think it's about time for a new Juggernaut to come out. He should definitely be a powerhouse.

Posted by: geminimerc on 7/13/2010 9:38:36 AM
Hi, for clix craves I would like a new Magneto and Sabretooth. But for new figures I would suggest some of the young xmen, like rockslide, mercury and Dust!. And I demand a figure of Onslaught!!!...and some of the Amalgam series. (Darkclaw, Super soldier or Amazon would be nice) :)

Posted by: che on 7/13/2010 12:07:32 AM
CT Doombots are still quite effective, ever since Secret Invasion, when they finally realized it's better for Doom to have a useful TA for his minions to wildcard than to be a wildcard himself. I'd love to see new ones, though, especially since the ones from the FF pack aren't really Doombots at all. We definitely need a new Hawkeye, and I'd love to see a James Buchanan Barnes Captain America. As for Moon Knight - I've always preferred his old incarnation (when Bill Sienkiewicz was doing the art) - and he didn't have any magical powers. I'd like to see that one - a Batman type.

Posted by: dittobeetel on 7/12/2010 10:52:36 PM
all the midnight sons including Strange(the necromancer) Agata Harkness
Dracula, Conan, Lilith and her Lilin a Wolvie/jubilie Polaris/Magneto and a Destiny/Mistique duo Doop, speaking of asgardian based Chars Barbara Norris
Nitro, a Galactus in scale like the crisis Spectre, Silver sable, the wild pack, a new Mojo, Captain america (skrull version) Lyja, Cap (bucky barnes) a new Blastaar

Posted by: Aquarius on 7/12/2010 8:22:08 PM
we need a spot figure in the web of spiderman set

Posted by: William on 7/12/2010 7:49:33 PM
how about dr. strange from midnight sons, or even a new forge. i wish they would fix the steal energy power. it would be better if you got back as many clix as you did in damage.

Posted by: jedilobo on 7/12/2010 5:27:07 PM
I want to see in clix: Generation-X (and Jubilee with the 90's custom, they could keep the figure of Super Nova, that would be fine for me, but give her special abilities) New X-Men, more Birds of Prey and Heroes for Hire, and get focus on old sagas like Maximum Carnage and Fatal Attractions would be great!!! Missing characters like: Rictor, Feral, Syrin, a new Boom Boom, etc. Remakes of Spiral, Mojo, More Age of Apocalypse and a new Mister Sinister!!!

Posted by: JasonCR on 7/12/2010 4:47:12 PM
Moon Knight could use a slightly more powerful update. Longshot is VERY accurate as is, Iceman from M & M is great too. Honestly there are SO MANY other Marvel characters that need to be remade before ANY of these.
What about Magneto, Sabretooth, Blob, Toad, Mystique? (that's just Brotherhood characters)!

Posted by: Revilo on 7/12/2010 4:30:06 PM
I'll live with my unique Hawkeye and the rest i could take or leave anyway. I'd love to see some of the X-men academy/young X-men like rockslide and Anole.

Posted by: Jade Giant on 7/12/2010 4:17:13 PM
Dormammu hasn't been done since Critical Mass , Master Mold would be awesome as well .

Posted by: Andrew on 7/12/2010 3:08:33 PM
No need for a new ice-man yet in my opinion. But it would be nice to see a new Elongated man(there has only been one that I can remember)

Posted by: CaptainAwesome on 7/12/2010 2:54:51 PM
I agree with Moonknight and Longshot but the others don't need remaking yet in my opinion. I also think that Fantomex is OVERDUE for a remake. Remakes of Ghost Rider and Count Nefaria are overdue as well if you ask me. Thanks for sharing!

Posted by: rwint1968 on 7/12/2010 2:45:07 PM
I think Fantomex is more deserving than any of these schlubs.

Posted by: supremepontiff on 7/12/2010 2:35:32 PM
Can we get a Wolverine with a whole bunch of clix (after all, he can take it as well as he can give it) and free-action or improved (subtract only 1 from roll, or subtract none) REGENERATION characteristic (star-power). Then, and just then, will I use Colossus to throw Wolvie into the middle of the fray!!!

Posted by: Illiniwek on 7/12/2010 2:17:55 PM
Nice article! There have actually been 5 Moon Knight figures including the Critical Mass 209 Marc Spector LE. But yeah, we still need a new one!

Posted by: Sphin on 7/12/2010 2:04:08 PM
with the exception of iceman i like this. hawkeye in particular needs a redo and as for the doombots witht he doom abilility and robot/armor key words they fit my builds well. i would also like to see the rest of the maximum carnage villian crew, shriek and carrion come out. my biggest hope though is for some jonah hex style battle packs with some Indy figures like the phantom, buffy and danger girls to name just few.

Posted by: inspired stranger on 7/12/2010 2:01:27 PM
I would like the sentinel to be updated. Make a std model like the giants are on small base(less exp to make) and master mold on a 4 base. The old ones are ok, impossible to get, almost a chase :), just a general upgrade and perfect for a battlepack. hmmmm maybe a pack of 1 sentinel, and a doom bot.

Posted by: scourge101 on 7/12/2010 1:54:03 PM
Hawkeye and Moon Knight are certainly interesting with the, should we say, "counters mechanic". Only a very few have this which the only one I can think of is Ms. Marvel in Secret Invasion. Not too wanting another Ice man yet. Lets see some brand new characters.
