05-11-2012: Two more HUGE figures today, starting with SENTRY and his nega-Setry form, VOID!

We first start off with Sentry, who has a nice broken 12 speed with Hypersonic Speed and 4 damage! He does get some Charge, ##SuperStregth, and Exploit Weakness too, which is nice. But look at that Impervious and Invulnerability! (And did we mention he has Indomitable?)

HeroClix Chaos War Sentry Spoiler Dial

The void is a idfferet kind of beast wth a range of 9 and THREE ranged attacks! Penetrating/Psychic Blast, Pulse Wave, Blades/Claws/Fangs, Exploit Weakness, and a full dial of Stealth! Woot! And don't forget the 2 Traits!

HeroClix Chaos War Void Dial Spoiler

05-04-2012: Our first look at HeroClix CHAOS WAR! That's a whole lotta power. Personally, I think you should go ahead and pay the extra 50 points to get 2 extra clicks of Running Shot, Impervious, Probability Control, and the all important 2 clicks of Pulse Wave!

03-19-2012: The Marvel HeroClix CHAOS WAR HeroClix set is coming this summer, and we've found some great images, thanks to the fine folks at Previews!

First up is the Marvel Chaos War Fast Forces! Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Wasp, and... ummm... who is that last one? I bet Scarlet Witch has lots of Probability Control!

I bought 1pak today and I got avengers prime just 1pak and I got a chase fig

Posted by: Me on 7/15/2012 12:02:06 AM
@Kragnorak The original set name was Mighty Avengers but Wizkids thought it would be too confusing with the AVM set release so they changed it to Chaos War.

Well if the set is out looks like I'm going to blow my monthly budget(again)! Thanks for the Info on the Dane Whitman Black Knight. Is he on foot or mounted on Aragorn?

Posted by: phep on 7/11/2012 7:10:05 PM
Got a couple bricks today and the sculpts are excellent! I found the name of the set misleading though. I didn't get any "Chaos War" inspired characters except Ares.

No new God Squad, no Dead Avengers. So really this was just another Avengers themed set. I would have preferred it be called "Mighty Avengers" because many of the characters were versions from that title.

I was definitely happy to see Dane Whitman Black Knight, Nitro, Egghead and Speed - all helping round out teams.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 7/11/2012 5:23:15 PM
@Mantis Warrior

Yeah I re-read the power again and it appears that your interpretation is correct.

Posted by: phep on 7/10/2012 6:31:40 PM
@MantisWarrior

VP's are much simpler today. The new rules say to return all figures to their original owners at the end of the game, and each player scores each ko'd opposing figure.

so if i transfer Ms Hand over to your force and you win with her still alive, i lose but you don't get the points for her because she was never KO'd

if i transfer her to you and she gets KO'd, you get the points for her

Posted by: DiscoHippo on 7/10/2012 5:16:01 PM
@phep
Once you give her a power action it seems she belongs to your opponent for the rest of the game. He can either use her to shoot at you with psy-blast and take 1 damage per turn or push her to death. Very cool power. How it works for victory points is another matter. Once she swithches sides who gets VPs if she's K.O.ed? Im guessing in a 2 player game you could have her switch sides then blast her yourself (15DV) to pick up 40 VPs and deny them to your opponent!

Posted by: MantisWarrior on 7/10/2012 12:21:59 PM
It would have been nice if Victoria Hand had the Dark Avengers keyword as well considering her involvement with the team.

Posted by: Andrew on 7/10/2012 8:36:07 AM
Victora Hand's special power is pretty interesting. Does that mean if you give her a power action every other turn she can't be targeted by the opposing player's force? Also can the opposing player use her Shield TA to aid their range attackers (at least the +1 to range)on their turns?

Posted by: phep on 7/10/2012 1:22:53 AM
Hmmm would have been nice if he copied a stat value rather then power. But nice anyway.

Posted by: scourge101 on 7/7/2012 8:03:13 AM
Wow!!!!!! NOW THAT'S WHAT I'D CALL TASKMASTER!!!! ahem... Sorry I got a little excited there. My Martial Artist team just got a big boost with this fella! ;-)

Posted by: phep on 7/6/2012 8:15:44 PM
I have to agree with white phoenix...

I am liking what I see of this set, but it is really shaping up to be yet another Avengers set with elements tying together some recent releases.

When I saw the Chaos War theme I expected to see the God Squad and Dead Avengers - Dr. Druid for example!

Posted by: Kragnorak on 7/2/2012 9:43:04 PM
@Kuasenada Good catch! I've fixed the image, THANK YOU!

Posted by: The Le on 7/2/2012 11:43:32 AM
Crystal has a trait and three special powers, at least the one i saw at facebook, the firestorm is missing, its the speed special power, that deal penetring damage to everebody hit by hurricane

Posted by: Kuasenada on 7/2/2012 10:53:37 AM
Where's all the pantheons of gods!?
I want Pele, Zeus, Hera, Athena, Amateratsu, super-god Hercules, a not ugly and horrible Ares, ETC!!!

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 7/1/2012 2:00:32 PM
another inhumans villan filling out a super rare slot... bummer, i pulled hardly any uniques from sinister but managed 2 maximus', only 5 super rares from Captain america and two of those were Mealstrom... i just wish i cared about the inhumans at least a little bit to be happy with the first pull, the 2nd is just adding insult to my injury and i'm clearly destined to own two of these too.

Posted by: Ste on 7/1/2012 7:24:55 AM
Yeah, at 236 I can't see him being broken. He's really one good pulse wave away from being rendered useless. He's not bad but I think he is a little over cost by like 15-20 pts due to only having move and attack powers on only 4 clix and only having attack powers on 4 clix.

Posted by: Japete61 on 6/30/2012 2:00:13 PM
a 236 point piece will never be "broken" and it's getting silly that every preview is questioning the brokenness of that piece. there hasn't been a truely broken piece since Nightcrawler back in WoS. This set is powerful along the lines of superman, but i have yet to see a truely "broken" piece out of it.

Posted by: rick leo on 6/29/2012 11:57:53 AM
Scorpio is Nick's brother, but Max is an altered LMD (Life Model Decoy), that believes he is the true Nick, so he's more related to the LE LMD Nick from Cap, than he is to Scorpio...LOL

Posted by: Tom on 6/26/2012 12:09:14 PM
Correction that was scoripo in captain America and the zodiac is a criminal group. I know Scorpio was somehow involved with Nick fury and this might be the same guy

Posted by: adam on 6/26/2012 3:24:09 AM
I believe Max was also the zodiac in the captain America line he is Nick fury's. Brother

Posted by: adam on 6/26/2012 3:11:43 AM
Max Fury (never heard of him but the name sounds like it came from a Mad Max movie sequel) makes for a nice support piece that can neuter teams based on the Shield TA. On top of that he's got stealth, outwit, close combat reflexes, & indomitable on his starting 2 clicks. Very hard to deal with even with costructed teams with stealth busters.

Posted by: phep on 6/25/2012 10:28:14 PM
Not necessarily. When he shoots a single target or group sometimes he targets bolts but I have seen him raise his hammer in the air and hit enemies in a 360 circle all around him

Posted by: john on 6/25/2012 1:41:49 PM
@John
That's overpowered Thor needs to see what he is shooting lightning at, needing no line of fire would not be accurate to the character.

Posted by: Hamhawk on 6/25/2012 1:30:06 PM
@Bliss
Look at the collectors numbers and you can tell witch are from each set

Posted by: Hamhawk on 6/25/2012 1:26:53 PM
All these previews are they for the GF or the full set?

Posted by: Bliss on 6/25/2012 12:58:48 PM
When does this come out?

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 6/25/2012 11:01:40 AM
Interesting power concept for Nitro but it would be very hard to pull off as you need either double Tkers and/or a taxi to carry him around make it work. still not a terrible piece for 41 pts. with his alternating 10 AV on the clicks he has Explode and Reform power.

Posted by: phep on 6/22/2012 10:50:27 PM
Nice trait idea but indome at least for Thor would of helped here's hoping that the marvel 10th anniversary Thor will be a real god

Posted by: adam on 6/22/2012 7:13:33 PM
I guess you would get two action tokens after the attack and normal reducers would be in place like super senses to evade as that would be the only real help

Posted by: adam on 6/22/2012 6:27:31 PM
Thor is a POS compared to the hammer of Thor he should of been at least equal to or greater than that clix. It's disappointing I want impervious exploit weakness energy explosion and a trait like chained lightning but make it God of lightning.Thor can target any opposing opponent within 5 squares regardless of line of sight or fire deal all hit characters 1 penetrating damage.this power can only be used twice a game. Ha ha ha

Posted by: john on 6/22/2012 6:19:39 PM
Nitro or Super Saiyan Son Goku? Hehe.

Posted by: Goldeeh on 6/22/2012 4:01:11 PM
How on earth can they justify Sinister being more points then Thor!?

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 6/22/2012 1:04:59 PM
Sinster is a great piece for his points. He'll be very hard to deal with on those first 5 clicks.

Posted by: phep on 6/21/2012 8:29:11 PM
Fyi for the new sinister if anyone was wondering

Posted by: adam on 6/21/2012 6:52:47 PM
You get a nice 75 point support piece in a 300 point tournament and you golden

Posted by: adam on 6/21/2012 6:50:48 PM
@ Edward.
yeah man, not so much broken, i'd say very very competative.
loving that Zemo, wanna team him up with his old man and a load of researchers for a filthy science team in my next constructed

Posted by: Ste on 6/19/2012 3:44:19 AM
@Edward

Kang isn't as "broken" as you might think since techincally he has to get into firing position first if the team doesn't have TK. So that prevents any first turn Alpha strikes (does that even happen anymore?).

Also considering that his DV of 17 would be considered poor for a 151 pts. figure I think most dedicated attackers with a AV of 10 and have Psychic Blast/Outwit/Exploit Weakness will have minimal issues with hitting and damaging him.

In addition his only move and attack click is on Click# 2 so any attack that does more than 4 clicks of damage (and if he fails his impervious roll) will knock him past his sweet spot.

Dangerous? Yes. Broken? probably not.

Posted by: phep on 6/18/2012 11:44:39 PM
Wow...can we say broken, with his attack numbers and self prob control he'll never miss. I have my sharpshooter cross hairs on him!!

Posted by: Edward Kaye on 6/18/2012 7:35:36 PM
Wow Kang + Zemo = Extreme Dynamic Duo!

I would love to put these guys on a MoE team at 600 pts.

Posted by: phep on 6/18/2012 7:30:42 PM
I wonder when Wizkids is going to push back the release date

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 6/18/2012 5:11:23 PM
I feel like Kang's Come back after I'm rested ability isn't really that impresive. Now if it gave him the ability to use it two or three times during an attack then I'd be impress.

Posted by: Bliss on 6/18/2012 1:49:31 PM
200pt Thor vs 151pt Kang... Thor is gonna get owned big time!
is it just me or has anyone else noticed how the marvel big name clix dont live up to their reputations, points values or even their own vilians these days...
it seemed to have started with the Cap set, where vilians were getting special poisons that deal extra damage to thier arch nemisis'. then with the movie clix where all the Avengers were well over pointed for what they did compaired with the villians.

Posted by: Ste on 6/18/2012 2:07:01 AM
Like Kang, wish he had the masters of evil key word and i cant help but imagine he'll using that team ability almost every turn of the game

Posted by: Ste on 6/16/2012 11:19:47 AM
i'm just suprised he's not indomnitable, for a 200pt god figure, i've kind of come to expect it... indom would have been more fitting than HSS.
on another note he has no energy explosion either. thats new, i know its not the most useful power, but EE is kinda expected with him.

i guess this being only one of at least three dials using this sculpt, the other more traditional dials must still be waiting to be unveilled.

looking at that dial though i've just realised he's got move and attack powers on all but his last click & special power is a major game changer, he'll be great for larger constructed tournements

Posted by: Ste on 6/16/2012 11:15:44 AM
I feel like Thor should be way stronger

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 6/16/2012 9:53:37 AM
I like the new Kang. MoE allows him to attack for 3 consecutive turns before taking pushing damage and he has built in prob control for his attacks. That Timeline Reset Special power is boon for an all MoE team or any team with lots of indomitable/willpower figures.

Doh! and he is a scientist too! Can that keyword get any worse???

Posted by: phep on 6/15/2012 6:20:52 PM
The new Thor seems like a throwback to the old Clobbering Time one with the exception of having charge and imperivous on his starting clicks. His Click #8 is pretty nasty but I think compared to the 200 pts. AVM version he seems a little underpowered?

Dr. Blake on the other hand is the new Jane Foster (without the willpower though)!

Posted by: phep on 6/15/2012 6:17:17 PM
I really am looking hard at the side of the booster pack at that white fantastic 4 team. It might be the new tournament figures.

Posted by: alex on 6/13/2012 11:27:26 AM
@ Fenrir
yeah man your totally right about the key words, but i'm just happy i finally have an ares i can use with my dark avengers and keep it themed. here's to hoping there is a repaint LE of miss marvel so we can finish our dark avengers line up without having to scour the earth and spend a fortune getting the Con Exclusive

Posted by: Ste on 6/11/2012 9:31:21 AM
This ares is from before he became a mighty avenger. amatsu mikaboshi later known as the chaos king attacked olimpus and zeus needed help from ares, who was living with his son as normal humans on earth. When ares refused to help, the gods from olimpus kidnapped his son alexander in order to force ares to help his godly brothers. When ares found out this, he abandoned his normal life and lauched an attack on the city where he was living in order to get the attention of olimpus. When he decided to do this, he shaved his head, beard, armed himself with guns, rifles, rocket lauchers, axes etc etc he looked exactly like this sculpt. This happened before civil war, so the keywords are completly wrong, only deity, soldier and warrior are correct.

Posted by: Fenrir on 6/11/2012 12:07:19 AM
The Chaos War Ares is decent enough for his points when compared to his Avengers version however I think the only advantage he would have other than the points reduction is that he is indomitable and has a power that is semi-immune to outwit. That being said I think I still prefer the 275 pts one due to his stats values on his first 5 clicks and the tactics special power.Plus that version can eat this one for breafast.

Posted by: phep on 6/8/2012 10:48:52 PM
Bummer. Ben Meisnar (sp?) has such an amazing Ares sculpt on his website. This is not the sculpt I was hoping for. At least the old dial is still good and the sculpt is the version I like, even if he is tiny and has absolutely nothing dynamic happening in that pose...

Posted by: Preacher13 on 6/8/2012 3:46:36 PM
weird looking ares... last i seen him was when he got kill but he looked so much cooler back then... kid of disappointed...

Posted by: vidious on 6/8/2012 1:58:01 PM
I HATE ares sculpt!
(and he sucks)

Posted by: White phoenix of the crown on 6/8/2012 1:05:14 PM
I thought Ares had a beard, or at least some scruff... he looks strange. Is this a new ares I am not familiar with?.. and where's his cool hat?

Posted by: Charles on 6/8/2012 9:53:49 AM
Ms. Marvel - Doesn't she absorb energy?

Rather than the Steal Energy power, it would be cool to see her have a change to heal when targeted with Psionic Blast, Energy Explosion, or Pulse Wave.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 6/4/2012 12:52:13 PM
I'm a bit disappointed with the Ms. Marvel figure. They should have given her some type of special power that worked similar to Repulsor Shield and at least running shot on the clicks she has the Radiant Burst Power. I guess I can always use that sculpt and put it on the 168 pts. SI Non-Skrull version.

Genis on the other hand is scary! Power Cosmic + Thunderbolts ATA with a possible +2 to all of his stats is just plain nasty!

Posted by: phep on 6/1/2012 8:21:46 PM
The 48 point is a good option... But that through alter egoing with Rick jones. I'll take Marvell instead.

Posted by: Juggercolossus on 6/1/2012 2:45:46 PM
So we're reusing another sculpt in Genis-vell. Very.....typical.

Does anyone know what comprises the 10 figs for the Gravity Feed set of Chaos Wars? Thanks.

Posted by: Ianator73 on 5/31/2012 12:48:50 AM
OK, so this Black Knight is Professor Nathan Garett I guess. I'm still hoping for a Dane Whitman on foot and maybe one on pegasus.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 5/26/2012 10:14:23 AM
The Black Knight is a pretty good figure. I especially love that second click even with the drop in attack value. I'm also glad they are making more affordable MoE figures to put on teams. 4 figure teams north of 500 pts. makes for very short games.

Posted by: phep on 5/25/2012 6:58:58 PM
I love this new Black Knight!!! His first four clicks are the best and he will get lots of play from those who want to play a scientist team or an MoE team.

Thanks

hopefully this hank pym can use the morph ability with the comic con giant man release....

Posted by: saddlebags on 5/25/2012 8:49:29 AM
The Hank Pym figure is nice. Looks like they finally got AE transformation done right. Morph into another figure after a move/close combat action? Great. I guess his Ant-Man & Yellowjacket versions must have that mechanic and the same points value. I'd be surprised if there is a Giant Man/Goliath version that also has that mechanic.

Posted by: phep on 5/24/2012 6:17:25 PM
The new wasp is awesome! I'm definitely going to try the split/merge mechanic if I pull/get the Duo dial AM/W, the new wasp, & use the Vet Ant-Man from Sinister.

Posted by: phep on 5/23/2012 5:46:42 PM
Love ant-man and wasp, anytime a figure can deal penetrating damage potentially every turn I'm on board.

Posted by: Japete61 on 5/23/2012 6:11:21 AM
Continue... then run away by having the rear figure pull AM/W out of combat.

While this scenario is highly improbable it still highlights what the figure is capable of with the new rules.

Posted by: phep on 5/22/2012 11:14:03 PM
You know something I think that the 168 pts. Ant-Man/Wasp is going to be one of those figures you don't think isn't really all that great only to get trashed by it because you don't respect the dial and the powers.

I mean look at the new tiny mechanic. ANY figure can carry Ant-Man/Wasp. do you know what that means? Stealth figures can carry their own close combat protector to block charging close combat figures. HSS figures with Outwit can outwit a figure's damage reducer, posion them with AM/W and run/fly away with the figure after making their close combat/range combat attack. The best part is that they can move at their FULL movement!

Now take the split/merge mechanic. Imagine 2 friendly figures with the Ld standing next to AM/W that is adjacent to a close combat attacker with B/C/F, 10 AV, 18 DV with Super Senses in a upside down L formation like so: OAF
F

O = Opponent
A = Ant-Man/Wasp
F = Friendly figures with Ld

At the start of the turn use posion from AM/W, then split the characters with a power action and choose say Vet Sinster Ant-Man & Unique IC Wasp. Now you got two potentially hard to hit (18 DV with Super Senses & Perplex for Ant-Man and a 19 DV for Wasp) that can also block LOF to any figure behind them from normal figures on the same elevation.

Now lets say that Wasp takes 3 damage from an attack from the opponent figure but no further attacks were issued against her. The next turn if you manage to roll 2 successful Ld tests to remove the action tokens from those figures they can merge again as a free action at the start of the turn with at AM/W back on its 1st click (since the merge mechanic doesn't state which figure's clicks you use at the beginning of the merge I assume you can choose between the figures) meaning that you essential negated the damage taken, can posion the adjacent opponent again, then make a close combat attack with exploit weakness, then run away by having the rear figure

Posted by: phep on 5/22/2012 11:11:59 PM
Anyone saying this fig is overcosted is ignoring their trait. people have to seriously consider whether or not to attack these two. if you miss, not only are they free to exploit weakness you on the next turn, but you take one damage for your troubles. at least with mystics you did some damage.

And just in case you weren't aware, a successfull super senses roll makes the attack miss. so, if you don't roll high enough or my SS roll is good, you take damage. that's a ridiculously powerful ability

Posted by: DiscoHippo on 5/22/2012 6:05:50 PM
i cant see how anyone thinks antman and wasp are crap, they are great with the points dealing 1 unavoidable when attacked and being able to merge and split, i dont think you can ask for too much more, not every character is supposed to be broken. If you want to go rant on a fig then go rant on an overpowerd undercosted fig that breaks the game, not a good versitile fig like this one.

Posted by: hamhawk9100 on 5/22/2012 7:17:46 AM
Andrew, please note the word i put before garbage..OVERCOSTED. for less points, i can field better pieces, especially in the chase category. they only have TWO clicks of any kind of move and attack power to go along with all that exploit weakness. i just don't see how this dial is 168 points, when for three points cheaper i can get the Adam Warlock/Magus duo, which basicly has the same mechanic, with better dials.

Posted by: rick on 5/22/2012 4:20:04 AM
Holy Crap!! What is wrong with players today?! 2 people calling Antman/Wasp garbage and unplayable and 1 person saying they are broken. Calm yourselves people! At 168 points, it is worth a good chunk of points, but I see a fairly interesting figure to play with including the new "Tiny", "Merge", and "Split" mechanic. And a fairly decent dial of combat values, it's not bad.

@Nightwing fan---Are you serious?? How many figures you know have a 20-21 defense? Not counting the fact that Antman/Wasp already has a +1 to defense for ranged and if you park them in hindering then you are currently already at a 20 defense, 21 if you have a perplex. Add their Super Senses on top of that---what more do you people want?!

Posted by: ChronoFett on 5/21/2012 9:54:58 PM
I don’t see how a dual attack, charge, exploit weakness, with super senses and a damaging special power is total garbage. Add in the Split\Merge special power and it is a very tactically flexible and powerful clix. Is it a tent-pole toury winner? No. Is it total garbage, not by a long shot.

Posted by: Andrew on 5/21/2012 2:27:09 PM
Hawkeye and ant man /wasp are both pretty broken. Hawkeye is especially going to be a pain in games where he can copy initiative or other ability to let him ignore stealth!

Posted by: inspired stranger on 5/21/2012 2:20:31 PM
The Avengers are my favorite team in Marvel and if possible its pretty much all I play when I do run Marvel. But while I love Hawkeye and cant wait to get him.

I cant believe Ant Man & Wasp. I was looking forward to this duo and hoping I could pull it as a SR, which is what I thought it would be. But NOOooo, the fact that it is a chase and 168 points! WTF????? Their is no way they should be worth this much. At the most I could see 120-130 and that is adding together the most expensive versions that we already have.

While the dial is pretty decent, I cant believe they only gave them a 18 defense. A 20 or even a 21 with super senses would have been perfect. This is one Avengers I dont think I will ever own unless I just happen to pull it. Its BAD.

Posted by: Nightwing-fan on 5/21/2012 1:20:57 PM
the new antman/wasp is pure overcosted garbage. that point cost is way too high for the amount of attacking they can do/damge thay can put out.other than a decent starting defense at range of 19/20in hindering, it will be eaten alive by pieces in or below its own points cost.

Posted by: rick on 5/21/2012 12:13:55 PM
I love the new Hawkeye. The only thing that keeps him from being perfect is that he's missing the Defenders keyword. :-(

Give him the Thunderbolts ATA and choose Ultimates TA he'll get a lot of use on that first 3 clicks on his dial.

Egghead is kinda "meh" for me (but then against I don't really like the character in the first place). However as a cheap outwitter with the MoE TA (quite a rare combination) he does have his uses.

Funny thing is that if you put Egghead & Hawkeye together in a standard 300 pts. team that combo would make Hawkeye even better as that would allow him to attack for 3 consecutive turns while Egghead can outwit any target that he can draw LOF to in order to help Hawkeye hit his target (such as countering PC or ESD). It funny because in the comics Hawkeye accidentally caused Egghead's demise. ;-)

I love the dial design on Sentry and Void. I like this sort of consistant dial with a gradual drop off in numbers. Often these days you get wacky all over the place dials so these are a pleasent change.

Posted by: Mantis Warior on 5/14/2012 11:42:12 AM
SENTRY looks like Goku!

What jabbawanga & Kragnorak said!

Posted by: Ianator73 on 5/12/2012 3:30:02 AM
"Since it's a free action HE could be placed "

That what I meant to say.

Posted by: phep on 5/11/2012 6:30:52 PM
There's going to be lots of high point characters in Chaos War if the previews are any indication. Sentry is pretty good but I would have thought they'd at least put clicks of 18 DV somewhere along the dial.

The Void is just plain nasty thanks to his trait "The Void Always Finds You". Since it's a free action you could be placed in hindering terrain at anytime during your turn (even at the beginning of the turn) next to the figure that damaged him, deal posion like damage to any adjacent enemy figure (Armor Piercing feat card would be awesome in Golden Age for this) then still be given a close combat action with Exploit Weakness if he's on those clicks.

Posted by: phep on 5/11/2012 6:06:03 PM
The Sentry SHOULD be ridiculously powerful, but HSS combined with Indomitable will be no fun at all to play against in sealed events.

Hey Wizkids, Sentry and Hulk are supposed to be evenly matched right? Why have we gotten so many Hulks recently that are inferior to Sentry?

Posted by: Kragnorak on 5/11/2012 2:49:30 PM
dude, Sentry and Void are awesome! love the ability to switch one out for the other. SENTRY IS RIDICULOUSLY STRONG. love it, cant wait

Posted by: jabbawanga on 5/11/2012 2:01:40 PM
oh wow!
after 2 rather meh sets with Hulk & GG, both of which i broke my rules and only bought singles, they give us this!
new dark avengers... Awesome!!!
new, new avengers... Awesome!!!
new mighty avengers... Awesome!!!
new classic avengers... Awesome!!!
if i didnt have such a tentpole for the avengers i might have been upset, instead im buzzing and cant wait to spend money i havent got on this awesome set... this is the best set since, well since avengers!
special mention must go to a new mocking bird, having her in her new costume has been a big want of mine for ages. lets just hope she is as effective as her vet sinister version, she was just about the best character for under 40pts for a long time and she's still competative today, which is quite a feet considering power creep and the otherwise weak dials that made up the majority of sinister

Posted by: Ste on 5/11/2012 2:46:00 AM
@Kayos

think "Future Foundation" or the current FF incarnation. ;-)

Posted by: phep on 5/10/2012 11:28:33 PM
@Kayos
Nah, white lantern is a DC thing. They just washed the uniforms at too high a temperature!

Posted by: Mantis Warrior on 5/10/2012 9:02:25 AM
6 opening damage on Chaos King. 6!!!! With running shot for alpha strike, prob control so it sticks AND pulse wave for a careful positioning to ignore defences! YUM!!! I wouldn't want to be playing a tent pole team against this guy! On the other hand have a pog stand next to each of your big guns and that alpha strike is a bit more nerfed. Still those are DEITY stats!

Posted by: Mantis Warrior on 5/10/2012 9:00:56 AM
Is that white lanturn fantastic four ??? wtf???

Posted by: Kayos on 5/9/2012 6:18:34 PM
I shudder to think how expensive Chaos King is going to be...

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 5/6/2012 11:19:39 AM
Hail to the King Baby!!!

That dial sure is scary. I like the deciptively low AV starting with Imprevious. Even if you hit him for 5 or 6 damage I wouldn't want to knock him on clicks 4 or 5 when he gets the chance to retaliate. The trait is pretty powerful too.

Posted by: phep on 5/4/2012 7:30:36 PM
THAT is the Thor sculpt I've been waiting for!!

Sweetness. Nice Mockingbird too, but we've seen her.

Posted by: Preacher13 on 5/4/2012 4:42:04 PM
I really don't think the chaos king should be that much points..I'd thing 300/250 yes the damage is high for the "350" part.. But this figure would be soo much more played if they dropped points down...like cosmic spiderman, even though there dial is good, in a battle they get 4-5 figs teaming up on this one fig.. Come on wizz kids step it up

Posted by: Jace on 5/4/2012 1:47:37 PM

I hope they make a better ironman. And I bet they crappp on wasp making her bad iv not been impressed by the stupid set after gg. I hope the c. War is much better!

Posted by: Jace on 5/4/2012 1:39:24 PM
@Hamhawk The box probably says 10th anniversary because HeroClix were debuted in 2002 and this yeas is their 10th. maybe it's advertising, maybe it's like when the Marvel Comics put the anniversary logos on their books for Spider-Man and X-Men and Captain America and so on a while back.

It's a milestone

Posted by: Benjamin on 5/4/2012 12:08:14 PM
Is that a Cap/Iron Man/Thor duo (triple) figure on the site there?!

Posted by: rwhitl on 4/23/2012 4:01:04 PM
I am so excited for the Ant man and Wasp duo that was shown in Alliance Open House. :) I also want Scarlet Witch, Ms. Marvel, Hawk-eye and the Future Foundation.

Posted by: Ian on 4/20/2012 6:26:27 AM
Zemo looks cool, and it would be nice to see some more mins of the mythological characters. Disappointed that Sentry is going to be in the set.
Hopefully Shuma-gorath will be in this one (I was expecting him in the GG super-boosters).

Posted by: annoyinglizardvoice on 4/11/2012 2:30:36 PM
@Nightwing-fan um i see the wasp and the ant man but im pretty sure they are separate peices from what i can see but all together this set looks amazing!!! But why does it say 10th anniversary on the boxes is this the anniversary set or are they just advertising?

White Phoenix

Did you forget the Gambit/Rogue duo figure?

Posted by: thearthandyman on 3/26/2012 12:05:56 PM
lordoracle,

I hope your right but I don't think that thats necessarily true. If you look on the Giant Size X-men boosters there is a picture of Gambit when there was no Gambit in the set

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 3/26/2012 8:57:37 AM
White Phoenix,

If you look on the booster boxes, behind Ms Marvel, Spider-Woman, and Wasp is Ares so that pretty much guarantees a new one. I've never seen a character on a box that was not in the set.

Posted by: lordoracle on 3/23/2012 5:03:38 PM
And there better be a new Ares. Lets face it, the avengers one isn't cutting it anymore.

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 3/22/2012 5:56:10 PM
The Thor on the side if the booster looks like the Marvel version of the superman Black Adam.
I must have it

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 3/22/2012 5:53:01 PM
@kris,

Amatsu-Mikaboshi is a shapeshifting evil kami, so that is him illustrated on the front of the box as well as on the side underneath the picture of Baron Zemo. I'm guessing that means we'll see two figures for him with one being giant.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 3/21/2012 10:13:42 AM
Is that abyss on the front of the box(black guy) or who?

Posted by: kris on 3/20/2012 9:51:03 PM
I can't believe I butchered Amatsu-Mikaboshi's name so badly below - now I will have to write it a hundred times :b

Posted by: Kragnorak on 3/20/2012 9:19:32 PM
New Sentry!!! I think that this is the set that'll finally give us a blackheart and shuma gorath. I of course base this on nothing but blind faith and the dude on the front looking deamonish.

Posted by: El Bastardo on 3/20/2012 8:01:25 PM
Maybe the new Tiny Mechanic is they cannot carry (even if a Flyer)
but they can be carried by a Grounded Fig (even if a Flyer)

Posted by: TH0MAS5 on 3/20/2012 12:00:32 PM
Even though the name had been changed a month or so ago. This was the set I was looking forward to the most. New versions of Scarlet Witch, Ares, Mockingbird, Spider Woman, Ms Marvel, Wasp, Ant Man, Cap, Thor, Iron Man, the Future Foundation. From the slide show pictures showing us a Ant Man/Wasp duo I was hooked. This set will be my biggest Marvel expense of the year.

Posted by: Nightwing-fan on 3/20/2012 5:11:48 AM
the last figure is MOCKING BIRD! It's NOT Spider-Woman or what others think...sorry.

Posted by: DrMorbius on 3/20/2012 3:37:03 AM
That red patch on Cap's shoulder reminds me of the Ultimates Cap (or Movie Cap) while the one in the Avengers movie FF pack looks like the normal Captain America uniform. Mix up at the production factory?

It nice they've included new versions of Scarlet Witch(who should be more than a glorified Probability Control figure), Ms. Marvel, & Spider-Woman. Future foundation is a nice touch but I'm also hoping for Mr. Fantastic & The Thing with Avengers/Fantastic Four keywords. Anyone knows if the Forgotten One will make it into this set?

@the dark knight, I bet it has something to do with shape change and or some kind of stealth like ability. Love the fact that we are going to get a new Kangaroo from what I see on the box.

Posted by: Japete61 on 3/19/2012 11:54:12 AM
There's a lot to like on this box package: 616 Avengers, Future Foundation, Anotsu Mikabono, a tiny mechanic, etc. etc.

Iron Man is looking a bit Ronald McDonald rather than red and gold I'm afraid.

I'm excited to see Anotsu because it gives hope for a complete God Squad as well as the ability to beat down opponents while spouting bad haiku!

Posted by: Kragnorak on 3/19/2012 11:53:56 AM
"Tiny" mechanic? About time & I wonder what it will be do? No Carry Ability for sure, but what else?
