#5 Energy Explosion
Give this character a ranged combat action to make an attack that deals no damage. For each target character successfully hit, all adjacent characters are attacked as well. Each character hit is dealt damage equal to the number of times it was hit by this attack (characters adjacent to multiple targets might be hit more than once). Critical hits deal 1 additional damage to all characters hit.
Energy Explosion may only do 1 damage, but it's the splash effect that makes it important. With the advent of Print and Play, Energy Explosion can let you deal 1 damage to each enemy that's clustered together. And if you have 2 ranged attacks, Energy Explosion could potentially deal 2 damage to one character (and with a critical hit, we're talking potential damage of 3).
Again, it's usually just 1 damage, but keep in mind that many characters have their best numbers on their first click, so many times 1 damage is all you need.
#4 Willpower
This character may ignore pushing damage.
Being able to act 2 turns in a row without taking push damage is pretty awesome, and can drastically alter the battle to give you the advantage. Unfortunately characters tend to lose out on damage reduction powers, but this isn't always a bad thing -- Batman characters often sport Willpower with Stealth. And if you've got Indomitable instead... well, the possibilities are endless.
Seriously though, the Experienced and Veteran ICONS Batman are some of the best Batman figures in the game -- everyone should be using them!
