Top 22 Boxed HeroClix Sets We WantI love the HeroClix boxed sets. Whether it's the DC Giants set or the hard-to-find Green Lantern Corps, I think the boxed set is simply a great way to appeal to your core comic book fan. As nice as it is though, I wish we had more, so maybe Wizkids will head my call and bring some fresh new boxed sets! Let's look at the 22 we really need...

22. The Endless

We kick off the top of the list with the Endless from the DC Vertigo universe. The Sandman, Death, Lucifer -- all these beings were told by the master bard, Neil Gaiman. The only problem? They're endless. Really now, how do you turn a immortal being into a HeroClix figure? Unfortunately you can't, which is why the Endless is at 21... but I can always Dream... (see what I did there?)

21. Watchmen

Sure the movie is a snore-fest and the trade paperback is most overrated piece of comic book literature ever made, but the fact is that most people love it and would be more than willing to pay big bucks for it. Maybe we could even get an Owlship out of it complete with flamethrower (Energy Explosion)! I suspect this kind of set would sell well enough, but I think Watchmen has already gotten way more press and praise than it deserves. There's only one question I have -- can a HeroClix figure be designed with removable pants?

See more funny videos and funny pictures at CollegeHumor.

HeroClix West Coast Avengers20. West Coast Avengers

This could be a very tricky as it would contain mostly B-List Avengers, but that's what made the comic book so fun! We're looking at the following possibilities: Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Wonder Man, Tigra, Iron Man, Jim Rhodes as Iron Man, Henry Pym, Moon Knight, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Mantis, and a few others. The designers would need to make some interesting dials to make it sell, but I have faith in Wizkids.

My favorite issue is when the team was kidnapped by space aliens as part of a pre-invasion experiment. Much like the Incredibles Storyline, each member faced a giant robotic villain that got smarter each time it was beaten. Moon Knight was the last to fight, and tore it to shreds after realizing that he was on a planet surrounded by hundreds of moons... the source of his power!

Obviously, the author is too young to understand what a revolutionary book "Watchmen" was... and what a superior piece of writing it was.

Anyway, I'd love to see Gatchaman (aka Battle of the Planets), The Incredibles, characters from indie books (including Image), Batman Beyond, and Amalgam stuff...

but I also really want to see more Capcom (more Street Fighter, Darkstalkers) and character from other fighting games like Soul Caliber, Mortal Kombat, and Blazblue and so on

but I would LOVE to see Astro City as Clix.

Would love to see the x-babies and the dead pool corps.

So The Le worote this in 2009. It is now 2013 and...
4 have come true! We have blackest night, a spider-cenric set (sort of) a whole batman movie set and a watchmen fast forces. Will any more come to light? When this article rolls around on the bottom of the screen icons in another 5 years what will we say then?
It won't be the incredibles though, sahme but never happen.

I'd like to see some more video-games tie-ins.
Resident Evil, Soul Calibur, Blood Rayne, Mortal Kombat.

Also Axe Cop!

Wheelchair Flash. Look out Falshzarro rolling through. Give him a speed of 3 with HSS. I would play him just for the humor of it. Like the Professor X that has Running Shot as a Power. it should be rolling shot

06. X-Babies

My favorite one with a new MOJO and his staff "Major domo" & "minor domo", LongShoot, Spirale, with a new excalibur team and a pack of Hound wolf.
and the cuttest one : the X-Babies team
I love this ideas :-)

My list:
1-Image HUGE Maxx fan
2-TMNT Most-fun-to-name-powers ever? "Tonight I dine on turtle soup!" "Heroes in a half-shell" for defense "TURTLE POWER!" for charge
3-Endless (just make them "killable" or they just leave)
4-Fatal Fury (Or a whole KOF set!)
5-GODZILLA COLOSSAL SET!
6-Movies but only non-marvel/dc ones (Dick tracy, terminator, phantom, shadow, the crow and darkman would be my choices)
7-Teen Titans (the cartoon)
8-Darkwing duck
9-Masters of the universe
10-Horror I'd make this higher on the list if it weren't basically impossible. Make freddy, jason, predator and an alien for heroclix! You could totally make a whole set from horror since generics would be fun. Critters, face huggers, gremlins, and zombies of course. Use some awesome Classic monsters dracula, frankenstein, wolfman. Some popular movie characters like Hannibal, Jack Nicholson with an axe, Ash, Leatherface, Pumpkinhead, Michael Myers (regen much?), The thing, etc, etc... and have some funny or awesome super rares/chases like the leprechaun for funny and MF JAWS for awesome! Imagine a double based, giant, fish symbol figure with a bunch of clear water splashing and a huge shark head coming out! I guess he wouldn't make much sense on land but he IS jaws and if anyone asked I'd just yell STREET SHARKS! He'd look kickass on the (well not ON the) bridge map!

Yes. Darkwing Duck!!! Now that there shall a Disney/Heroclix force there should definately be a Darkwing Duck figure. He was based on super heroes to begin with. And there are the sidekicks Lauchpad, Gossling, etc. And don't get me started on the villians. It would work real nice with the BOOM comic line too...

Some great ideas there... but not all for me. Don't forget that an Image set already exists- Invincible. I'm sure everyone has there own ideas though. So here are a few of mine:-

I want more from Invincible;
I want Global Guardians (from Invincible);
I want Astonishing Wolfman;
I want more colours of Lanterns to go with the Green ones we've already got.
How about a cosmically powerful themed set?

I want Team sets, such as:-
Guardians of the Galaxy (original series);
The Imperial Guard;
Gatecrasher and the Technet;
Stormwatch (from the original comic series not the current one);

I want character history/ chronology sets. Many charaters have gone through several changes in ability and/or costume:-
The various types of SpiderMan;
The various Captain Britain's (or even the Captain Britain Corps);
The various Captain America's;
The various Hulks;

I also would like some 'Generic' sets:-
Police;
Army;
Zombie;
Henchmen;
Thugs each with different weapons;
Skrulls;
Even animals- Wolves, Lions, Tigers, etc,;
And especially Velocoraptors (normal or genetically engineered)!

But what I would really, really love to see is... Ben 10 + Alien Force. Although these would be better off as a whole 60 figure set, or 2. Hint, hint. :-)

The Endless are cool...Maybe the TMNT so long as no one dumbs down the game. I really disagree with that list. Idk why anyone would trash Watchmen, and then brag on about a bunch of cartoons like the Incredibles. This game's not meant for kiddies. Horroclix is done anyway isn't it?

Dreadnaught is very right about throwing in some MGS. I could count a cool video game character, although I think Manga would be too much.

How about...dare I say...Kick-Ass?

Posted by: Bobby on 5/30/2010 6:32:00 PM
Metal Gear Solid anyone?

Posted by: Dreadnaught on 5/2/2010 6:31:43 PM
My own chart:

1) He-Man & the Masters of the Universe
2) G.I. Joe
3) Street Fighter
4) Mortal Kombat
5) TransFormers G1 (or Animated)
6) Tekken
7) Defenders of the Earth (Mandrake, Flash Gordon, The Phantom, Ming, etc.)
8) ThunderCats
9) The Spirit
10) manga heroes as Dragon Ball Z, Naruto or One Piece

Posted by: Black on 4/7/2010 8:42:42 PM
A lot of these mentioned would be cool. Image, T.V., Movies, all good ideas.
I would like a full roster of 2099 clix myself, or MC2, still waiting on those as well =D
For DC I would like to see a JLI (Giffen) box set, and New Gods.
To MikeInMK: Enternals would be pretty nice to.
MARVEL KNIGHTS BOX. From the Series of the same name.

Posted by: FragIt on 3/1/2010 7:18:49 PM
I would like to see an A-Team set. I think that would be cool maybe even some GI Joes, Thundercats, or He-Man.

Posted by: Geminimerc on 2/23/2010 3:54:15 AM
Here are some sets that would be cool. Herculoids, Thundar the Barbarian, Howling Commandos "Nick Fury", I am a big avengers fan so the Osborne team, the original team when Cap was found, MC2 Avengers Next as well as the Next Avengers the cartoon, even expanding on the last the Iron Avengers from the cartoon. As well as the founding teams from Marvel and DC as boxed sets in the timeline costumes. (Avengers, West Coast Avengers, X-Men X-Force X-factor JLA JSA etc....

Posted by: Ed on 1/5/2010 10:37:29 PM
Personally, I'd be interested in almost none of these...

How about an Eternals boxed set? Now that I would buy...

Posted by: MikeInMK on 12/25/2009 6:52:48 PM
I'd like to see a buffy set but don't forget the Angel spin off as well. That would add a lot more villians for the sets.
