Here's the new maps that come with DC75th, along with the special map rules that come with it. What do you think?

AIRPORT Map, horizontal view.

Orange squares are moving walkways. At the beginning of each turn, each character completely occupying a moving walkway square that cannot use the Flight ability must move as if they had a Speed value of 1 and automatically breaks away. This move starts with the character closest to the thick orange line and must be in the direction of that thick orange line.

The maps look a bit amateur to me. I’m surprised this is an official map. It’s not bad, but I don’t think I’d pay money for it. It’s kind of reminds me of the old maps from hypertime or the indyclix starter. The Hawkworld map is a little bit better.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I feel like the maps are kind of bland. If they both didn't have the special rules there wouldn't be much to them. I would like to see more destruction in my airport battle map.

IN reply to the "colors" of the maps, the true colors of these maps aren't represented in these pictures of the maps well. These images here show the colors "way" brighter than they really are on the actual maps. Probably due to JPG resampling.

Who wouldn't like the chance to smash up an airport, full body scanners and all? Hawkworld looks a little garish, but I guess the skies are orang-ish on Thanagar?

Hmmmm, my non-fliers could take a one hit penalty but get moved all the way back to my starting area............

I heard the designer behind Grid Reality is actually the one who does all the "Graphics" for the newer Wizkids Maps. So at least Wizkids is listening, when we told them we want better maps!

The walkway rules on the airport map have me wondering about the wording. Do they really mean "move" as opposed to "being placed"? As written it seems to define the character's action for the turn, which plainly can't be the case.

Initial reaction is that I'd be much more interested were these to appear in cases again, or even if Wizkids would just sell them for $10 or so. That they continue to be part of prize support largely removes them from my consideration, save for when I go play at a venue.

In the meantime Mighty Maps and one or two other map-makers have been the ones getting my cash of late.

You should adjust your file. The greens and oranges are too bright.
