HeroClix Watchmen Review Day 1Greetings and Salutations! HeroClix World received a review copy of the Watchmen Set today, and we are absolutely thrilled to show it off to all of you! There's a lot to cover, so we're going to have to break this up over a couple days.

(I apologize for the potential slow loading times, as this article is image intensive)

Today we're taking a purely visual look at the Watchmen, and I'm happy to report that it's excellent. The first thing you'll notice is the overall size of the box, which is really big.

Description: The Watchmen Collector’s Boxed Set includes 25 highly detailed, 3D miniatures including Dr. Manhattan, Rorschach, Nite Owl and Silk Spectre. The Collector’s Boxed Set, which includes a complete set of Watchmen HeroClix figures, comes in deluxe, display-quality packaging.

Availability: August 25th, 2010

Watchmen HeroClix Review

Take a look at how the Watchmen stacks up against the DC Giants collector's set and my Barry Manilow collector's set. He writes the songs that makes the whole world sing.

Watchmen HeroClix Review

He writes the songs of love and special things.

Maybe this will help with size comparisons. Really, the box is huge.

@ Troma99 - this set appears to be a mix of both movie and comic-related figures. Captain Metropolis plays a bigger part in the comic than the film - I guess it gives you the ability to play a "Crimebusters" team per the GN. Kind of disappointed there's no Dollar Bill, Nite Owl 1, Mothman or Silhouette figures.

Can you give more information on the Intrinsic Field Experiment figure, please?

Honestly before u showed me the case for it and the figures I was meh about watchmen clix but now I am sold and hope that this is the model of the future for special sets such as jonah hex, star trek, transformers etc

If this came out a year & a half ago I would be stoked. But know (with the $100 price tag) I'm just going to save my money for "Jonah Hex", "Web of Spiderman", "Brightest Day", & "DC 75th". Sorry...

Wow. Just watched the movie again. I may need extra top knots for bonebreaking fight scenes.

So coooool
