HeroClix DisneyClix logoHeroClix World is proud to give you an exclusive look at the new Marvel DisneyClix set, for sale January 2011. That's right, we've been working with our high level contacts at Wizkids for months, and we're packed with exclusive information for our readers!

Official Press:
WizKids/NECA, the leader in collectible miniature gaming today is announcing the Marvel DisneyClix set through a license agreement with the Disney Corporation.
Marvel DisneyClix is a fully compatible HeroClix set, which brings the characters of Disney and Marvel together for the first time to gamer's tabletops in January 2011.

The
Marvel DisneyClix Set includes 55 highly detailed, 3D miniatures including Marvel fan favorites like Ant Man, Captain America, Dr. Doom, Iron Man, and Wolverine. Also included for the first time are popular characters from the Disney (and Pixar) lines including Buzz Lightyear, Daffy Duck, Lilo & Stitch (Duo), Mickey Mouse, Peter Pan, Tron, and The Incredibles. Each booster box includes miniature dice, quick-start rulebook, and comes in deluxe, display-quality packaging.

“WizKids is very excited to add Disney(clix) to the HeroClix platform,” said WizKids/NECA president Lax Chandra. “Disney has been producing groundbreaking characters and movies for over eighty-five years, and their recent acquisition of Marvel Comics has only solidified their status in the world of entertainment. With 56 unique sculpts in the Marvel DisneyClix Set, plus the mail-away figure, we've offering an exciting product that will satisfy fans of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and the all important HeroClix!"

HeroClix maxThat's a mouthful! But wait, there's more! Wizkids was kind enough to give us an exclusive look at two new TEAM ABILITIES that will be introduced in Marvel DisneyClix:

HeroClix DisneyClixMonsters Inc: Members of the Monsters Inc. team can use Incapacitate as if it has a range of 3. When two or more friendly Monsters Inc. team members are adjacent to the same opposing character, modify the opposing character's combat values by -1.

HeroClix DisneyClixIncredibles: When two friendly Incredibles team members are within 4 squares of one another, modify those character's defense values by +2. When two friendly Incredibles team members are adjacent, the character with the highest point value may use Defend.

Wow! We're not sure which we like more! Monsters Inc. is clearly an offense-styled TA, while the Incredibles is made for defense. Heck, we love 'em both! (To the right is another exclusive WK concept image, but we have no idea who this is?!?)

Sounds pretty good to me. I've been advocating for a long time that we need more interactive figuers, and the Pixar mail-away fits right into that mold. Is the lamp adjustable? I really hope so. My son's gonna LOVE it! and if he doesn't want it, I'll keep it myself!!!
