HeroClix Tab App spider-Man#8: Tab App Spider-Man

You could play in a hundred different HeroClix tournaments and still won't see this gem get played, which is too bad since he's really great!

At 99 points, the Tab App Spider-Man is a great little support piece that can do damage, work as a team as a Wild Card, and support you with Probability Control and Outwit.

Add some Super Senses for survival and lots of Charge and you have a figure that's also a great secondary (possibly tertiary) combatant.

The super-deformed sculpt may be goofy, but there's no reason you should avoid this version of Spider-Man; he's great for nearly any team!

From wikipedia: Spider-Man (Peter Parker) is a fictional character, a comic book superhero that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko, he first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 (cover-dated Aug. 1962). Lee and Ditko conceived the character as an orphan being raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, and as a teenager, having to deal with the normal struggles of adolescence in addition to those of a costumed crimefighter.

No love for WKM-010 Spider-Man. All those keywords, spider-man team ability, a trait-ed carry ability (with sidestep), and my personal favorite, "Reach out and grab a bad guy". Incapacitate your opponent and then make a free close combat attack, love it. Oh yeah, don't underestimate sharpshooter and indomitable. I know that the knock against him is the high point cost, but there is a lot to love about this spider-man. Maybe not top 5, but not even top 10, brutal. I think this is a great list, but I just had to get that off my chest.

iron spidey dosent need to be on their just cause it's a chase! I agree about the changing frequencies spideys tho... no "staying away from chases"! The best spidey would have to go to the IH series special abilities and and good start off defense plus a low cost makes a great Spider-Man on any force

Very good list. I was sad to not see the Morph Spideys at least together as one spot. And no Iron Spider-man from Avengers??? The List seems to enjoy Incap and his is top-notch.

No web of spider-man #007??? Come on. Also, Spider-man #024 from the amazing spider-man is great. @ 78 and 125 Points I think these spider-men were overlooked. My two favorite spider-man pieces just didn't make the list. Shame.

The 4 armored chases from ask should have ranked on the list they're way better than those old figures you listed. The only thing that makes them viable is the fact that you can put feats on them since they're golden age. But if you're playing golden then you would be able to feat up the newer figures and they once again become better than those old figs. You could have even ranked them together as if they were 1 figure because of their morph ability. They really are very good figs on their own but with with the morph, if you know the dials, you can be ready for almost anything your opponent can throw at you.

Nice to see some of the older figures on this list, although I must confess that almost all the modern figures are better than the golden age ones.

Youch! That's a lot of Spider-Men! I love the way you've got different 'types' of Spider-Men filling up the countdown not just 616 Peter. My tweaks to the list personally would be:
I prefer the rookie of the ultimate Spidey you used. When you need a cheap Spidey his 9AV with Super Strenth is pretty much al you need. the vet has staying power but at that cost there are modern options (i.e. gumball machine/lamp post/Happy Meal Spidey)

I would get rid of Cosmic Spidey from the list altogether and replace him with the Web of Spiderman common. For 78 points with an amazing top-dial and the sorely missed 'web' mechanic he's my definitive Spider-Man. Heck if we can have Spider-Girl in the top slot I'll have WOS Spidey with the Critical Mass sculpt. Glue is allowed on this list right?

For avengers and scientists, this guy is a perfect BT candidate!! The lack of KWs is not much of an issue once you consider who he can team up with.
This guy is top 5, easy.

A very nice list.

Very fond of the SI Spider-man, your #3, which we call Lamp Post Spider-man (he's on a lamp post).

Also have enjoyed playing 2099. If they do not knwo the piece, the look on your opponent's face when he gets to that stop click can be priceless.

And I agree, Spider-girl is an Amazing Spider-man.
