X-Men Days of Future Past ReviewI really don’t have anything negative to say about the film, since for once it all makes perfect sense. But, I would say the film is more importantly about trust and control than anything else. It took trust for the future X-Men and Charles Xavier to send Logan to the past to fix these atrocities from happening.

It also took large amounts of trust for Quiksilver to trust Charles, Logan, and Hank when he was approached with a highly dangerous and illegal mission. Trust was also given to Erik Lensherr to do the right thing. In the same breath Magneto was given too much control which you'll see when you watch the film. Bolivar Trask and the United States were also abusing control throughout the film. Raven, more importantly, was given trust to do the right thing. After all these years, Charles finally realized he was trying to control Mystique which ended up creating a barrier in their relationship, which is again themed around trust.

Overall this film really showed a dynamic to the formation of the upcoming relationships-to-come in future films. This film will make you excited for the next one! The writers really did their homework with this one and you can see that.

After seeing the film I would give it a 8 out of 10. It would’ve probably got a 9… but no iconic wanted poster nowhere in the film, which was a little disappointing in my opinion. I would not Reccommend this film to younger audiences due to a little foul language and some scary scenes with the future Sentinels.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

Your Comments:
always enjoy your reviews. Ariel's power confused me, but I am not as familiar with the X-Men as I am with essentially every other character in existence, oddly enough
Heroclixhater's comment also confuses me.
"not as attractive as some people think".....if people find her attractive, isn't she then, by definition, attractive?
I always find comments about attractiveness amusing. Only a true comic geek (like me)is so disappointed when the real world isn't filled with stunning ladies and muscular men.

Enjoyed the movie greatly. I think what I liked most was the mixing of the First Class and other trilogy casts. References to the other movies like when Logan told Xavier to "forget it" in First Class were great. Loved seeing new characters added to the cast.

If anything, this was really a sequel to First Class, which I really enjoyed. The reset was nice too in bringing back Jean and Scott.

In the realm of HeroClix, now I feel the need to hunt down a Deadpool Blink figure for my set.

I really enjoyed the movie and like the fact that they reset everything that happened in the 3rd movie. Enjoyed the new characters as much as the old. The special effects were awesome, even though I thought they ripped of The Destroyer blasts from the face of the sentinels from Thor. Can't wait for the next movie and hope to see many more X-Men.

First of all people need to get over j. Lawerence. Shes not that great and not as attractive as some people think. And why the hell does bryan singer still get high profile jobs after the train wreck that was superman returns and x3? This movie wasnt as bad as spider-man, but its not that good either.

Just saw the film yesterday and enjoyed it a lot. Not as good as "First Class" in my opinion but then I'm not sure the point was to make the best movie in the franchise but to reboot the franchise a la Star Trek. I'm more excited for future movies now than for Days of Future Past itself.

@Kragnorak: Genius!!!!

Total agreement...

I was really hoping for the iconic poster.

That would have made the movie for me. Just give us a nod to the original iconic cover. It would have made an awesome poster for the movie.

To be honest that was really the only thing I was looking for out of the movie.

ok someone is drinking the xmen kool aid i found this to be a Jennifer Lawrence movie, this movies should have stayed in the future where the movie was better.
p.s you really think the sententials in the comics take out the avengers that's why i don't like this storyline.

Last we saw of Professor X, he had moved his consciousness into a comatose patient at Muir Island. Since he was already setting himself into a morally grey ethical area, he presumably continued to jump bodies until he found a suitable one. His final choice was one Sir Patrick Stewart whose appearance was similar enough to allow Charles to convince himself that the body was meant for him. Although he enjoyed the use of his legs for a few months, the accident-prone telepath soon found himself wheelchair bound after falling down the stairs of a replica space rocket at a Star Trek convention.

While I will say that this movie was much better than X3 and some of the other previous movies, and quite a few errors were corrected, there were still quite a few gaping plot holes. I don't want to say to much and spoil anything for anyone but the largest of course being the obvious, Xavier died at the end of X3 and here is all fine and dandy in this movie. Showing something to explain this would have been nice. Ultimately though I did enjoy the movie and your review. Side note: That's Sunspot, not Magma.
